This historic ornate 1834 parlor was recently redesigned to accommodate birthdays, private dinners, business meetings and romantic weekends. Guests enter through a lighted tropical plant walkway & into a foyer with a 'secret door'. A flight of stairs leads to the venue which holds 35 for cocktails and will seat 16 for dinner. An ante-room is adaptable as a catering kitchen, intimate tea-room, cloak closet or hair/makeup station. The white rug easily rolls away for a traditional brown painted floor. The original fireplace is in working condition at a charge. Dominating the room is a hand-painted oil reproduction of Caroline Astor who was the ruler of New York society in the gilded age and who often visited this room for family functions. Various amenities are ala carte.
