Smoking The house is strictly smoke free. PLEASE DO NOT SMOKE INSIDE. You are welcome to smoke outside on the patio but please clean up all smoking remnants (butts, ash, etc.). Quiet Hours Please respect quiet hours after 10pm. Parking Please park on the gravel on the far right side of the driveway in front of the gate door that leads to the back of the property. Temperature We recommend keeping the thermostat at 75 degrees but while onsite feel free to set it at a temperature with which you are comfortable. When you leave please set the thermostat to 78 degrees (warmer months) or 70 (colder months). Please make sure to close the front door tightly to prevent cold/hot air from escaping the unit. Coming/going Please be sure to lock the place up (front door and gate with deadbolt) when leaving the premises. Master Bedroom (middle room) Extra blankets are inside the silver circle table in the living room. Please leave anything you use on the bed so we know to wash it. Bathroom Please only flush human waste and toilet paper down the toilet. No tampons, trash, paper towels, etc. Your towels can be found on the shelf above the toilet. Additional clean towels are available under the sink in the bathroom. Please help yourself. Extra toilet paper is available on top of the toilet. Bedroom (right side) The twin bed has a pull-out trundle bed underneath. Please take care as you move furniture to access this bed. Extra linens are under the futon. Office/bedroom (left side) The office area (desk and monitors) can be used but please leave the area in good shape. Please do not sleep directly on the futon cover, instead please put sheet please use the sheets and pillows that are in the drawers under the futon. There is a blanket for the futon in the black metal side table. The futon can be made flat by 1) pulling it away from the wall and 2) pulling up on the front side until the mechanism releases. To put it back away lift up the front and back simultaneously and push it back in. If you are having trouble putting the futon back together please leave it as is or message us for help. Living room Please enjoy the various apps on the Roku TV to watch your favorite shows and movies. There is a WiFi connected speaker that you can access via AirPlay or directly from the the Sonos app. Kitchen Utensils and silverware are in the drawer underneath the stove. Pots and pans can be found in the lower cabinet underneath the stove. Extra plates and glasses are in the tall pantry cabinet. Laundry You’re welcome to use the washer and dryer. Detergent is available above the washer. Checkout Please leave used towels on the floor in the bathroom. Please strip the beds and put the sheets in the washer and leave the comforters on the beds (no need to start the wash we will handle that ourselves.) Please rinse and place dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Before you leave please run the dishwasher. Other notes It rains in Houston a lot and when it does you can enjoy the elegant sound of the rain on the roof of this special place. If it does get too noisy for you we recommend retreating to the bedrooms, but usually downpours don’t last too long.
