*Music Video rates are non-negotiable and start at $250/hour* All are welcome at ‘The House of Dandy’—A private, yet inviting sunlit home that displays a vibrant and chromatic assembly of authentic mid century decor. Built in 1926, our historic Eagle Rock home is a genuine sunny delight in every nook and cranny of its 900 square foot single-story floor plan. From the fixtures to the floors, the Beetle to the doors, each prominent and partial detail alike plays a part in reimagining itself as it once was—A warm, charming, 1970’s oasis. Aside from a few essential nuts, bolts, appliances, and pantry items (of course), everything within the four walls of the house is original vintage. The furniture and its surrounding decor have all been sourced from estate sales, flea markets or fellow Angelenos. Additionally, a selection of pieces have been thoughtfully hand-picked from vintage mercantiles during vacations overseas. Even the walls and floors have been restored as they might have once been fashioned—as if you are stepping full swing into the presence and paradise of the 1970’s domestic dream. This pulse is infinitely true for the groovy plaid wallpaper, ever-scintillating inside the magnetic orange bedroom. Perhaps the most alluring quality of the house, though, is the natural light that infuses each and every room with ease. From sun-up to sun-down, both ourselves and our plants find a classical contentment receiving this gift of nature’s hospitality. It is, after all, quite a feat to sustain a bad day while the amber LA sun filters pure gold through the near 30 windows outlining the house. All that said, consider yourself invited. We’ll listen to records, pet the dog, pet the plants, and slip into the eternal summer of ‘75 at “The house that makes you HAPPY!” In addition to the home itself, we also have a 1967 Volkswagen Beetle available for rental. Please reach out and inquire further as the bug is not included in these hourly rates, and is only available for shooting as a separate rental. There is easy access to/from the 2 and 134 highways and adequate street parking available in front of and/or within a one-block radius of the house. We are also located near a handful of terrific local restaurants, independently-owned shops, and a family-run hardware store.
