We have implemented a cleaning process for guest rooms in which a two-part sanitizing process is being used on all high touch surfaces in guest rooms. The process will be performed by highly trained team member and entails the following: One trained cleaner will work in each room. Cleaners will wear new latex gloves that will only be used once to clean each part of the room and then will be immediately discarded. Each cleaner has been trained to perform a strict cleaning regimen on all designated surfaces. The second part is a thorough walkthrough and assessment of the area by a second trained professional. We use high quality materials to ensure our surfaces are sanitized.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

The following equipment is provided for every guest:

Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
Hand Sanitizer

About the Space

The Good House is located in Miracle Hill District, a protected Hot Water Zone with the hottest well water available in Desert Hot Springs. World renowned for the quality and therapeutic properties of the water from the two aquifers, one cold, and one hot that bisect the middle of the city. Desert Hot Springs natural hot mineral springs rank higher than any other hot water destination for its odorless mineral content. The Good House overlooks sweeping vistas of San Jacinto Mountains. The seclusion and quite compliment the beauty of the trees, gardens and tastefully furnished rooms (recently updated in September 2021), with walkways that wind to meditation spots, surrounded by high walls.There are full towering desert trees including palms and mesquite and complete landscaping and hardscaping with colored cement terraces and pools. Seven well-appointed guest rooms, with kitchenettes, all but two with private patios. There are two massage rooms, one fully furnished and a Finnish rock sauna. Just two hours from Los Angeles, 30 minutes from Joshua Tree, and 20 minutes from Palm Springs. Built in 1957 Building is 3,200 SQFT Lot is 1.22 Acres

A heartfelt goodbye is at 11am. -We are a little place, so please keep things nice and chill so everyone can enjoy their stay just as much. -Events: We love events. Especially when they are held at The Good House. Please contact us directly if you wish to arrange something extra special. -Sauna: Available but finicky. -Pet Policy: We love pups! We welcome well behaved pooches under 50lbs. One time pet fee of $50 per stay. In accepting this fee you are accepting full responsibility for any liability arising from your pet (pet damage or personal injury to hotel, hotel staff, guest, third party or property)Please do not leave dogs unattended at any period while on property. Violation of these terms may result in the forfeit of your reservation with no refund. We are a small place and a barking pup left alone in a room not only disrupts our guests, but makes us sad for the dog. Take Fido with you on your hike or out to dinner. After all, they are on vacation too! - Massages: Available by request and with 48 hrs notice. Sometimes we can hustle and get you in last minute. We absolutely understand things come up, however, as a courtesy to our hardworking therapists, any spa bookings are non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of date of service. -Cancellation Policy: 30 days prior to your arrival date, except during holidays. Cancellations less than 7 days prior to your visit will result in a one night’s room & tax charge. During holiday periods, our cancellation policy is 10 days prior to your arrival. -Complimentary WIFI -Complimentary parking -We are a smoke-free property. But you are welcome to light up right outside. We gotta charge you if you smoke on property, and it’s $250. So best we all play by the rules, cowboy. -Apologies, we do not offer electric car charging.
