Enhanced COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures

The Studio is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between uses. A cleaning fee of $100 (minimum) will be charged for any excessive or careless messes left behind. The studio host will define "excessive" and "careless" and will document messes made (as well as actual damages, particularly to the cyclorama wall), so appropriate charges will be made.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

About the Space

The Studio is located just south of German Village in The Fort - the site of former 19th Century ladder and fire truck factory of Seagrave, established in 1892. It is approximately 1950 sq ft (including the host's office space) and is suitable for events for up to 20 people. It is ideal for photography, videography, e-commerce, podcast filming, small workshops, and more. The Studio features hardwood finished floors, white painted brick, exposed beams and rafters, and has west-facing windows. Our 15x18 L-shaped cyc wall is perfect for fashion photography, e-commerce photography, and product photography. Separate shooting bays are available as well, with multiple seamless-paper options for backgrounds. There is a kitchenette on-site with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee, tea, and filtered water. Snacks and beverages are available as well, and are included in your rental. Bathrooms are located on the first and second floors; the first-floor bathroom is ADA accessible. There is ample free, on-site parking. Rentals include use of bluetooth sound system, coffee & tea, hair/makeup station, limited guest seating, and access to a freight elevator for loading in product, wardrobe, etc. Blackout options are available for the windows, for more controlled lighting. And we can provide a strobe kit, light stands, v-flats, and more for additional costs.

Ambient noise description

• The studio space is not soundproofed, but street noise is minimal at best. • The tenant above us uses equipment that can sometimes be loud; we're happy to schedule your session around such uses as best we can. To date, they've been more than cooperative anytime someone books the space for filming video. • Sound blankets available at additional cost.

• A freight elevator is available for loading in wardrobe, props, equipment and the like. • We're happy to direct you to the loading zone prior to your shoot, and provide access to the freight elevator.

Electrical system description

• Ample power outlets are available throughout the space, in all shooting areas, in the guest seating area, the kitchenette, etc. • The circuit breaker is accessible just inside the front door of the studio, and to the left.

General Rules

• No smoking allowed. • You're welcome to provide your own catering, as well as serve your own alcohol. • Alcohol cannot be sold onsite. • Rentals include use of bluetooth sound system, kitchenette, coffee & tea, hair/makeup station, limited guest seating, and access to a freight elevator for loading in product, wardrobe, etc. •

All ages are allowed in the space

Furniture and decorations may be moved

• Careful, gentle use of all studio furniture (except the office) is permitted. • Furniture must be picked up and moved by hand, not slid or dragged across wood floors. • Wall decor may be removed upon request. Please inquire with the studio host for details.

Security cameras and recording devices

Security cameras are mounted in each shooting bay, the guest seating area, and the kitchenette. These cameras are used only for risk management, to monitor the number of people in the studio, to ensure renters leave on time, and for the security of the space. Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. Footage will never be shared, posted, or made public.

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.
