Historic Spanish Hacienda in Downtown San Antonio

This is a grand hacienda in downtown San Antonio that has been used for photo shoots, wedding, prom, non-profit fundraisers, meetings, and romantic evening outdoor dining. The front yard is a magical during December due to amazing incandescent Christmas lights. During the day, the detail of the 100 year old stone construction with beautiful detailing nestled in the center of winding oak trees is spectacular. Enjoy the castle feel of a historic home. Inside Casa Rosewood, you will be greeted by an explosion of color and Mexican culture. The foyer is vaulted with a warm yellow as base to an unforgettable artistic mural through the house. The Mexican tiles (52 different designs through the house) makes this venue breathtaking. A romantic wooden spiraling staircase is a great place for photos. The great room right as you enter the house has a sky blue ceiling with yellow walls and a carnival merry go round Inspired painted fireplace with detailed sculptures. Going through another arched doorway, you will find yourself in a magical backyard with Saltio red tile, multiple levels, fountains, chimneas, fire table and porch swings. The fully enclosed back yard gives you seclusion. Beautiful hanging lights from the 300 year old oak tree who’s branches reach across the entire back yard gives a romantic tropical resort feel at night. The landscaping of rose bushes terocota figurines, and tropical plants is fitting for this hacienda. A dark bottom pool with a waterfall reflect the tree branches and lights. In the back yard, you will also find a “casita” which is perfect for meetings, or a dinner. An entire glass wall opens to the magical back yard. A traditional Mexican Fountain gives a beautiful sound of water. The outdoor garage can be converted to a beautiful event space with draping curtains across the ceiling and rental of a dance floor. The space has drop down plastic sheeting to insulate if cold or rainy. The multiple levels in the back yard make the space unsuitable for those with mobility issues.
