About the Space
The Rainbow House is the oldest home in Bothell. Built in 1900 this house has seen a lot and was once home to over 100 cats! At just 1,000 square feet it boasts plenty of color and personality! The Rainbow House has over 100 paint colors inside, a custom mural upstairs, 5 different wallpapers, a clawfoot tub, a rock climbing wall, and many other surprises. Every room is a different color - a pink living room, orange kitty room, yellow bedroom, green kitchen, blue bathroom, and a rainbow attic. The rainbow house is perfect for a photoshoot that needs color, personality, and a joyous touch. Please note, this is our personal residence. We need a few days notice in order to book. We are also an animal-loving house and have many animals here during the day so if you have pet allergies this might not be the space for you. Animals won't be in the house during your event unless you would like to include them in your photos!

I heard Marita talk about the house on a podcast and I knew immediately this would be the location for my next professional photoshoot. It did not disappoint. There was great creative inspiration coming from every nook of the home, as well as the garden. I also appreciated Maritas communication throughout the process, especially when I double booked the appointment and needed a refund. She was quick to want to help resolve the issue. I can't wait to see the photos we shot in this awesome space.

Marita's Rainbow House is a magical masterpiece of color and cats! While there are many polished places on Peerspace, none of them deeply resonated with our wedding story. We kept scrolling until the Rainbow House saturatingly stood out, with its vibrance and charm — on top of all that, we saw the kitty pics! We had to inquire. Marita is extremely warm and responsive with her conversation, and gave us a thorough and unrushed tour well in advance. The care and continual improvements she puts into her home are clearly above-and-beyond, and she made us feel like a welcome guest from the get-go. On our big day, Marita had everything prepared for us to have our wedding, complete with her cloister of cats — while they're all OMG SO CUTE, we have a soft spot for lil' Shrimpy Kazoo... the acoustics in the living room are tight and served our speaking voices well, and made the lovely music from our harpist + flautist stand out. Our photographer acutely pointed out many spots for great shots, and captured the whole spectrum of colorful scenarios, as we did a tour around the house to appreciate the abundant creative energy. While the Rainbow House's "About..." description is accurate, actually being here is a truly one-of-a-kind immersive experience. Give Marita the courtesy of planning ahead and being clear about your pet preferences, and she'll make awesome things happen for you. Here's to many more memories of life and love — lived in the Rainbow House. 🌈🏡😻🐈⬛

Booking with Marita was so easy and lovely! We used this space for a photo shoot and it was so dreamy and colorful- just like in her pictures! We hope to come back and use this spot again and recommend it to all our friends! :)
