This space is 1900 square feet of pure magic. Built 100 years ago this building used to manufacture farm equipment but was converted to artist lofts in the 1970s. There are many features to explore within the space. There is a built in dance floor (12x14ft), wall of studio mirrors, photography set up, two giant skylights, aerial rigging to ceiling beams, and total privacy from neighbors, open air design, wall of plants, 10 person dining table, guest bed, and full kitchen, breakfast nook, and bathroom upstairs. There are unlimited possibilities within the space to create film, art and photography of all kinds. Set up is perfect for recording dance, yoga, aerial silks and performance. Recording audio you have to tolerate some occasional street noise but Ive always found the sounds here authentic to the Oakland and workable. Art of all forms is recorded and produced here when the space isn't open for use. The skylights create an amazing diffused light. Between the hours 2-5 skylights are blue and white and glow in the loveliest of ways. Best way to have total control over all lighting is to shoot and record after sundown. There are no limits to the uses of this space.
