Let Your imagination run wild in this beautiful historic open space. Located in Mount Vernon, a National Historic Landmark District and a city Cultural District, it is one of the city's oldest neighborhoods and originally was home to the city's wealthiest and most fashionable families. The possibilities are endless here. Located in Historic Charm City, directly across from the Washington Monument this space is engulfed with history. In the 1880s, Arunah S. Abell, founder of The Baltimore Sun, used it as an "in town" home. The building "contributes" to the historic character of the Mount Vernon area, according to the city and federal government. That means its exterior cannot be changed without approval from the Baltimore Commission for Historical and Architectural Preservation. Missing a few things but overall the space is nice. We had to keep using the elevator to the first floor to let our guests up, there was supposed to be an iPad to help with this. The elevator would get stuck or slow and we had to take the stairs but there was a lock on the doors—small fridge leakage. Nice lighting. Overall the space was nice but had a few issues. I would book again if we had access to everything. The host was responsive.

The space is beautiful, the owner is fantastic, but the property manager is unprofessional and has no cuatomer service experience. These are the events that happened for me to arrive at this review 1. I followered her directions to book a tour, she never replied, she was out of town, and her directions simply state to message her 15 minutes in advance, I did 2 hours in advance. 2. I called support just to find out the phone number they have for her is to the salon in the same building, but it has nothing to do with renting the space, she can't be bothered to leave a real cell number so people can get in touch with her. 3. She failed to tell us to book for an extra hour to get 2 free we reserved it for 5 hours, again no customer service. I had to re-read every detail, she refuses to answer simple questions l, her favorite response is, it's in the directions. 4. The day of our event, the place was dirty, and we had to wait over an hour for a cleaner to come and clean it, and she was aware it wasn't going to be ready when we arrived but waited for us to discover it rather than inform us in advance so we could be prepared. 5. The tables that were prom8sed were stuck behind a lot things that were stored tightly, a extremely dangerous task for us to do. 6. She never offered any refunds if any kind u til I mentioned it, but she had the nerve to tell me I can just get a refund, mind you it's the day of my bonus daughter's college graduation, how dare she. Also another favorite response of hers, i can only control what I can control. 7 Free advice to the owner, find a professional to manage your beautiful space because Shanika can't even be trusted enough to I form clie ts she's on her anniversary vacation and will not be responding to clients. 8. If management changes I will rent again, but not if she's still the manager.

The place was absolutely beautiful! It was very clean and easily accessible. I enjoyed my 30th birthday party so much at this space. All of my guests fit comfortably and had an amazing time. I wouldn’t recommend booking this place over and over and over again!

This is a really nice space however the area or location seems alittle unsafe or scary. It took a lot just to get into the space instructions could have been alittle more clear. The host could have been more responsive. Once in the space I was not happy with the up keep of the lounge pieces they were very dirty and appeared as if it hasn’t been cleaned in sometime even had some kind of bug crawling in the corner of the couch that we had to kill and then wipe down the couch for my guest that was coming. I sent a message to the host along with pictures and video of the lounge pieces and bug and never received a response. However we got through the night. Also if would have been nice to have access to a few cleaning products such as broom and dust pan, mop etc unfortunately I will not use this space again.
