Expansive Club Room in Philadelphia

The Blub House was amazing. The staff was very helpful, the scheduling process was easy. The Club house is a beautiful venue you could use for multiple event types of events. We used the space for a photo shoot and we loved it. The only challenge is the low lighting so bring extra lights if you need it for photography.

Great space, front desk is super friendly, event coordinator is very helpful and responsive.

Amazing.

It is hard for me to give this place a somewhat negative review, but for what we used it for, it wasn't the best, and perhaps that was our fault for booking it for this usage. We did a 12 person film shoot, complete with lighting, cameras, and sound. The good is that this place is great on communication as they used a main booking person who is in charge of multiple spaces, but she didn't seem to have specifics on the space. When we arrived, the staff at this place were rockstars, and helped us with quite a few logistical things that were overlooked when we had initially asked about the space. Also the furniture in the space is great, and you do have access to a massive courtyard, but it's not limited to just you, as residents of the building have access as well. The space is def bigger than the photos make it out to be, and it's well designed with a large kitchen area which held our crafty well. And a last positive thing to say is that there are plenty of parking garages surrounding the space. The bad is that logistically speaking this place should not be listed for film shoots, ever. Load in is a bit of a nightmare - as there's no pullover on the street it's on, so we permitted a side street through the city for production vehicles, but there's a long push from there to the front entrance. Once inside, you have to take an elevator and then do another push into the room. Sound wise, this space is terrible. And while they don't claim to be soundproof, the amount of foot traffic you get outside this room, plus numerous slamming doors from various offices, makes this a hard no for an interview. Even with sound blankets we couldn't dampen the door noises from outside. And last - you have NO way to control the lighting that's on in the room. This is crazy. Everyone on the staff and their Maitenence team was so nice, but told us there was absolutely no way to turn off the numerous lights in the room. So we had to spend extra time blacking these out when lighting. For a party or a small event, this space would rock, and you're in great hands with the team who runs this space, as they are all incredibly nice. But logistically for a film shoot of any kind, skip it.

Beautiful space, but pricey.

The venue space was perfect for our event. A few minor hiccups that were quickly resolved. Overall - a great experience and our guests enjoyed themselves.
