About the Space

Originally built in 1877 with stints as a streetcar building, printing plant, and laundry business, this four-story, industrially appointed workspace boasts brick walls, wide windows, and soaring ceilings. Steps from U Street Metro, The Mark at Manhattan Laundry counts La Colombe Coffee, award-winning restaurant Maydan and local watering hole Franklin Hall. This 8 person conference room includes high-speed Wi-Fi, television (with adapters provided for any laptop, AV equipment and wireless conference room phones. Flipcharts are also available per request. We can accommodate media or filming requests please just ask the team for more information. Catering service is available for an extra charge for breakfast and lunch. Hot Coffee with essential condiments and a pastry snack is available for an extra fee. All prices are priced per person.

Health and Safety Measures
Enhanced cleaning measures:
  • The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
  • High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
  • Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
  • Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
  • Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
  • Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
The following equipment is provided for every guest:
  • Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
  • Disposable masks / face coverings
  • Hand Sanitizer
The space has the following features:
