About the Space

This raw industrial space located in Culver City serves as a beautiful, clean backdrop for any photo or video content. The space includes concrete floors, 3 white walls of varying sizes and 1 white brick wall. The space is much larger than it appears in photos with 20 foot ceilings on one side and 30 foot ceilings on the other. Great natural light with a large skylight. Note space cannot be made dark during daylight hours due to the skylight. Bookings should be made after sunset for dark filming options. Space is not soundproof. There is light noise from surrounding area but relatively quiet and plenty of project have filmed with audio in the space. WHY GO DOWNTOWN WHEN YOU CAN SHOOT IN CULVER? Free parking is available. There is a full kitchen and large bathroom located in the studio in which you have usage during your booking. Located in the Culver Art District also provides several stunning backgrounds for outdoor shoots. Within a 15 min walk there is a variety of backdrops that we've mapped. Image included of all of the outdoor options. You will be provided a map once onsite that outlines each location making this the perfect spot for a hybrid studio/outdoor shoot. Walking distance from Platform, Helms Design complex and Co-op Market, there are many options for food and coffee in the neighborhood. Enhanced Health and Safety Measures
Enhanced cleaning measures:
  • The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
  • High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
  • Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
  • Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
  • Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
  • Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
  • Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

Yes, I would book again.

The Collective Space is a hidden gem! As a physical therapist, it's important for me to have a private space with plenty of room to move around when I treat my patients. The space is always clean and the plants and natural light make it feel so cozy and inviting. Liz and her team are incredibly organized and responsive to any needs. They even provide some basic equipment like yoga mats, weights, and foam rollers which helps me not have to carry as much. I can't recommend The Collective Space enough!

Wow! This space truly blew me away! I hosted a workshop here and the space was perfect for our group! We had everything we needed and plenty of space to set up a coffee bar with snacks + chairs for the guests. We were able to hook up a presentation and share it on the wall which worked so well. The natural light and easy parking was a big perk too! Highly recommend this space for workout, workshops, or even filming podcasts!

Yes, I would book again.

Great space, easy to work with. Very responsive. We did not bring a lapel mic so the train can be heard in our videos. The air was not on. Otherwise, I would go their again. She is great to work with!

What an incredible space! Liz is an amazing host. Incredibly responsive, helpful and nice as can be. I hosted a sound bath here and the acoustics of the room were just *incredible* for it. Easy load in/load out. Thanks so much Liz!

Im a massage therapist who works and films content in The Collective Space. Liz is an amazing host, she is always so friendly and welcoming. She was super helpful with finding the right angles for my first shoot, she assisted with the music and made sure I had everything I needed. The space is open, bright and any creative's blank canvas to bring their vision to life. I would definitely recommend The Collective Space to fellow creatives!
