We have a 300 square foot, fully lit (4 Savage LED lightpanels with color temperature control) film studio in the middle of a pristine meadow in an Old Growth Douglas Fir forest. The structure features a 20 x 12 foot open wall looking out into a private forest. The interior was hand-joined from live-edged Monterey Cypress. The studio has a wood-burning stove, fiber-optic internet, and is off-grid with a battery back-up system. It is designed for 3-camera shoots. You can bring filming gear or we can provide rental of our equipment, which includes several Canon 4K cameras, two Sennheiser lavalier microphones, and a production workstation for reviewing footage. This is a very unusual location. The studio works best for smaller crews (2-3 on the technical side, 2-3 actors maximum. It is not a commercial location. It is rustic. This is an ideal location to shoot video project that needs to have a very strong nature awareness element, or deep silence. We built the studio as our primary production location for a global wellness firm that creates film. The property is ten acres, with two seasonal creeks, seasonal waterfall, a three acre meadow, and very large hills. There are mature old-growth Douglas Firs, some well over two hundred years old around the property. We build the studio to control lighting while feeling like you are in the forest, but you may also film in most places on the property, which is a designated nature preserve. It is extremely pristine.
