REGARDING RENTAL HOURS Please look at the notes at the bottom regarding TOTAL TIME OF RENTAL - the total time of rental is the time you arrive at the studio to the time you have left the studio. This includes setup time and breakdown. If you are not out of the studio by the end time off your booking, we have to charge for that, and it's done in 1/2hr increments at 1.5X the rate. This has to be clarified because we may have a booking happening exactly at the time your booking ends, and if you are not out, you screw up the schedule for people after you. So if you think you need 4 hours of shooting time, book 5 hours to allow 30 minutes for setup and 30 minutes for breakdown, for example. ADDITIONAL COSTS If we have to repaint the entire floor, it's between $100 - $200 extra (depending on the number of coats needed), which basically covers the cost of paint. This sometimes happens with shoots that take the whole day or where lots of people end up walking all over the floor without the booties. The use of colored confetti, if walked on afterwards, transfers the ink to tree floor as well, requiring a repaint. This is not added until after your shoot - if it’s determined to be needed at all, If we’re there at the end of your shoot and can determine the damage right then and there, we’ll discuss it with you, to see if you agree. You are not supposed to walk on the curves and there are signs indicating that in the studio. If you do walk on the curve you may crack the surface and we will have to repair that crack. The cost to repair each crack is $100 PER CRACK as we need to re-putty the surface, let it dry, sand it down to make it smooth, then repaint it a couple times, this takes a couple hours per crack. Just don't walk on the curves and everything will be fine :-) SMOKING SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE STUDIO. If someone breaks the rules THERE WILL BE AN AUTOMATIC CHARGE OF $150. We have people of all ages, including children, shoot at our studio, and when smoking occurs, it's very difficult for us to get the smell out of the studio in a timely fashion. It often takes days for the smell to go away. The door to the outside of the studio is right by the studio, so people can smoke outside very easily. ADDITIONAL CLEANING CHARGES Since the studio is supposed to be returned to us in the condition that it was in when you rented it, any confetti, or other items that we need to clean up, if they require extensive cleanup we will have to charge for that according to the time it takes to clean up at the regular studio rental rate - if it's 15 minutes, you would be charged $25 for example, if it’s 2 hours, that’s $200 in cleaning fees! This is only due to the fact that people are unable to rent the studio after your booking until it is clean enough for them to use it. No sand or dirt or other substances allowed in the studio that are difficult to clean up easily. No Adult Film Productions allowed. IMPORTANT - REGARDING THE TOTAL TIME OF RENTAL The hours you book the studio are the time you arrive at the studio to the time that you leave, including setup and breakdown/cleanup, so you must compute the hours you need with that in mind as we can't rent the studio out to other people if you are still in it :-) Again, STUDIO TIME IS NOT JUST THE TIME YOU ARE SHOOTING, IT'S THE TOTAL TIME YOU ARE IN THE STUDIO. We have to clarify that as people continually think that they can shoot up to the time that the booking ends and then they take another half-hour or hour to break down their equipment and clean up. That is considered overtime and you will be charged for that. Sorry about that! Other than that, we are totally chill! Thanks so much!
