About the Space

This is an exclusive listing of an architect's home and office in a historic San Francisco Victorian home in the Mission/Liberty Hill historic district. We have a spectacular view of the rolling hills of SF from the rustic south-facing deck, exposed brick in the updated, earthy kitchen, bold colors in the bedroom, hallway and living/dining rooms, and vintage/designer light fixtures and furnishings throughout. The huge gingko tree buds green through the spring/summer and gorgeous yellow in the fall (the photos are from winter when the sculptural branches are bare). The most special room of all is the attic loft, accessible via ships ladder and furnished with midcentury pieces. If needed, you could stay in the attic bedroom overnight for an additional charge. My dog can model as well ;). For meetings, you can use the dining table and/or sofa and the large flatscreen TV with Apple TV. All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
  • Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
  • Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
  • Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

Yes, I would book again.

Great space! Host was helpful and stayed on site to answer any questions. We took fashion shots in the house. There were plenty of little spaces for unique vignettes. Dolores Park was also super accessible for off-site photos.

Anand's space made for a fabulous venue for my photoshoot, very clean, full of art but not cluttered. Good light throughout. The attic bedroom was a unique and photogenic setting and the living room front bay windows also provided a softer filtered light through the foliage. Communication with Anand was excellent. Hope to go back here in the future.

Yes, I would book again.

Anand is a gracious host and his Victorian flat is really a superb location for a video shoot. We cranked out 7 different scenes on one floor and didn’t even use the gorgeous upstairs bedroom loft, where you could get another 2 or 3 different scenes. Very clean flat, beautiful pastel color and minimalist yet artistic. Easy to do street parking. We highly recommend!

Fantastic venue with highly dramatic lighting - worth a booking if you are a photographer looking for narrative scenery.

Anand was extremely communicative and helpful throughout the booking. Beautifully design space — with so much variety — would shoot here again! He was attentive, but stayed out of the way during our shoot. Overall great experience :)
