Professional cleaners are hired before and after each booking. Oregon Contemporary follows all guidelines and mandates required of venues in Multnomah County, OR, as well as mandates at the federal at state level. Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

The following equipment is provided for every guest:

Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
Disposable masks / face coverings
Hand Sanitizer

About the Space

Weddings, graduation ceremonies, readings and releases, music performances, projected video installations, & much more. We offer a kitchen for caterers, and can host a bar. Our space is versatile, events may take place while contemporary art shows are exhibiting in Gallery 1 or Gallery 2 space. Event clients can rent our large platform space, which can serve as an excellent dining space, dance floor, or reception area. Gallery 2 and our outdoor courtyard may also be made available for event clients. All spaces are equip with lighting (adjustable, tone options) and power; Gallery 2 and Platform space may feature installed art. Equipment such as tables, chairs, linens, vases, etc. are available for rental. Event rentals come with site manager.

Parking description

Abundant & free street parking in front of gallery and throughout surrounding neighborhood (Historic Kenton District). Additionally, Oregon Contemporary is adjacent to a bank location that allows free parking in their lot after hours (after 5pm) every day of the week. Oregon Contemporary is also across the street from a stop on Portland's light rail transit system, MAX (Yellow Line) which connects directly to downtown and the central east side. Oregon Contemporary also has bike racks & storage spaces.
