About the Space

Hello and welcome to the Robert House! In 1952, Robert custom-designed this stunning midcentury modern ranch-style home in Altadena, CA. In 2021, we inherited this remarkable space and after lovingly restoring it to its original glory, we are thrilled to share its timeless beauty with you. Outdoor Features -A 20,542 SQ ft fenced in lot set below street level offers complete privacy from street and neighbors -A Lush and expansive backyard with a large, covered patio, sprawling lawn and a unique kidney-shaped pool with an original 1950’s diving board and custom terrazzo coping -1 mile proximity to Eaton Canyon Park provides easy basecamp parking Indoor Features -The great room is the crown jewel of this architecturally inspired home, featuring a vaulted wood ceiling, floor to ceiling clerestory windows, a striking natural stone wall and real hardwood floors -A period stone fireplace compliments the great room for signature midcentury vibes

Parking description

1-3 cars can fit in driveway. All other cars will have to park on the street but street parking is relatively easy to find. There is also a massive parking lot located at a nearby park that may be able to be rented for basecamp parking.

General Rules

PERMIT For larger photoshoots and all video shoots a filming permit through Film LA is required. We also require a COI. CLEANING / DAMAGES Guests are expected to leave the space in the same condition as they found it in. No nails, screws, staples or penetrating items should be used on our walls. Be mindful when opening and closing doors. Any tape or gummed backing materials must be properly removed. Damages (walls, floors, furniture, etc) will be billed to the credit card on file with Peerspace. MISCELLANEOUS No adult shoots, no smoking

Security cameras and recording devices

Front and back of property have Nest video cameras that record both video and audio.

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.

Health and Safety Measures

We will have the house thoroughly cleaned according to CDC guidelines prior to the shoot.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
