All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
About the Space
Shady Rest at Sullivans Island is a heavily wooded and landscaped half-acre secluded beach cottage built in the 1920's with a pool, hot tub, and fire pit. All landscaping was meticulously designed by Garrett Mattes of Ink and Moss. In 2019 the house underwent a massive studs-out renovation, while keeping the charm of the original. Available with the outdoor booking space is Backyard, Back Porch, Existing Furniture, Pool, Hot Tub, Fire Pit, One Bathroom, and Screened-in Porch (can double as a Changing Room). Our driveway can accommodate at least 3 or 4 cars, there are three public parking spaces across the street. We are also a block away from a very large free public parking lot.

Mauri was absolutely amazing! Great to work with, beautiful property and such a gracious host! I definitely look forward to coming back to her space and working with her again. The property is beautifully manicured, so well kept, and clean. She let the photographer and I do what we needed to do and kept making sure we were okay. Thanks again Mauri!
