Built in 1930 with that one-of-a-kind Texas-take on Art Deco. High ceilings, tons of windows and perfectly proportioned group gathering and private spaces. Purposefully directed to have a room for every purpose: high-style formal living room, mid-century themed casual living room, lovely eclectic dining room, enormous industrial kitchen with tons of light, double-ovens, 6 burner gas cooktop, butler's pantry, dedicated bar area and crazy spacious island. Samuel's house is phenomenal. There are so many rooms, each one unique, so the potential for keeping a complex shoot in one location is there. There's also LOTS of space to move around and fit equipment which made the day so much easier. The artistic touches throughout are very nice, not your typical bnb or kitchy pinterest stuff, but legit artistic curating. Finally, the friendliness and hospitality were beyond what I've experienced before... a box of phenomenal chocolates and a hand-written welcome note just set the mood for a fun productive shoot. Overall, extremely impressed with this location.
