About the Space

One location, seven distinctly different and stylish sets! Each set is a handcrafted art installation designed for maximum drama and visual interest. Each set also has its own custom lighting set up* and is ready for use immediately, so you can arrive and shoot with minimal fuss. Additional amenities include v-flats for blocking or reflecting light and freestanding moveable lights. Please note that the dressing room suite is not included in this rental, but is available for an additional $50/hr. The location is in the heart of a highly walkable and vibrant neighborhood full of restaurants, shops, theaters, and art. * Two of the sets have full-color customizable LED lighting built-in, so you can adjust the vibe on the fly and get radically different results. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time so you can familiarize yourself with our additional lighting options (included).

100% controlled light. 7 distinct mini sets (8'w x 8' h), each with their own built-in lighting, set up and ready to shoot. Additional & accent lighting also provided!* 2 of the sets have color-adjustable LED lighting to evoke different moods. Dressing room suite available as an add-on for $100 flat fee! * PLEASE NOTE: The 7 sets have additional lights available (see photos) to achieve different specialty effects, and we would be delighted to show you different lighting setups. Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to familiarize yourself with our additional lighting equipment. 100% included—no extra charge.

Ambient noise description

It's a converted industrial space. Rain makes a beautiful patter; the dog training school next door provides occasional woofs. Otherwise, gentle music, some street noise, nothing out of the ordinary.

These are controlled-light environments designed to photograph people. If there's a compelling reason to bring in additional gear or items, we are on street level and there's a garage door large enough to admit a truck.

Some rooms are off-limits for shooting

This studio has multiple rentals and photo bays, so we ask clients to follow the good neighbor rule! Treat the other sets as you'd like other photographers to treat YOUR set. Please avoid interrupting work in additional photographic bays, and do not let your clients wander. Please do not leave clients unattended. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. This is a working photography studio, full of trip hazards, gear, and props--again, no unaccompanied children.

Space was formerly a 7-bay auto repair facility. There are plentiful outlets and extension cords available, and power is rated for industrial use.

General Rules

Our house rules are simple, common-sense, and good vibes: • Campground rule: leave the space as you found it—clean, orderly, and inviting • No food or drinks on set! Please enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages in the lounge. • No cigarette or cigar smoking in the building • ZERO TOLERANCE for harassment of any kind

Furniture and decorations may be moved

We ask that all items moved be returned to their original spots. We recommend taking a quick video with your smartphone upon arrival so everything moved can be returned to its proper place. No unaccompanied children in any part of the building. And PLEASE: NO FOOD OR DRINKS ON SET!

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures

We leave ample time between bookings to make sure the space is clean and inviting for each client. This listing includes 7 individual sets, each with different surfaces, textures, and props. As you might imagine, they present a challenge to clean, which is reflected in the rental price being slightly higher than average.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

The following equipment is provided for every guest:

Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
Disposable gloves
Hand Sanitizer
