The number of people in the home may not exceed the number of guests in your reservation confirmation without our prior approval.
▪︎ CHECK-INS/OUTS ▪︎
Your right to access the property begins with the 4PM check-in and ends at the 11AM check-out, unless other times are approved in writing in advance. Check-in is not allowed after 10PM unless approved in writing in advance. If you violate these rules, we may charge up to 50% of the daily rate for an early arrival and/or late check-out.
▪︎ PARTIES ▪︎
NO parties allowed at our property, whatsoever. If our outdoor security cameras detect guests that wasn't apart of the initial booking, this might result in a cancellation of the reservation without no refund.
▪︎ LOFT USE ▪︎
When booking, you agree that using the loft is at your own risk, and that we will not be responsible for any injuries while using the loft, and/or loft ladder. Do not use the loft or ladder while intoxicated, and always use the ladder rails to climb up and down.
▪︎ PARKING ▪︎
Do not park on the street outside the house. All cars must park in the inside the gate, in the roundabout by the house. You may not exceed more than 5 cars without prior knowledge to us.
▪︎ DOGS ▪︎
Dogs are allowed with prior written permission and a fee of $50/dog. Dog owners agree to the following additional rules:
▶︎ Use protective sheets that we will leave out for you to cover any place where your dog may lie. Outside the house dogs are to be leashed at all times for protection of your own pet, as well as our neighbors.
▶︎ Owners must immediately pick up after their dogs and deposit waste in a plastic bag and place it in the garbage bin.
▶︎ Dogs are not to be left unattended in the house at any time. In addition to our additional dog cleaning fee, we will deduct the costs of extra cleaning or repairs necessitated by the presence of your dog.
▶︎ Renters assume all responsibility for any harm that may come to your pets and agree to hold us without responsibility, the property owner(s), against all losses, claims, liabilities, causes of action, damages, costs and expenses related to any harm that may come to your pets while on the property.
▶︎ Additionally, the renter agrees to pay for any damage caused by the pet(s)
▪︎ VEHICLES ▪︎
Recreational vehicles and camping or other overnight accommodations outside the home are not allowed. Violations of this policy will result in termination of the reservation with no refund.
▪︎ INTERNET ▪︎
We do not guarantee the speed of internet service at and around the property. Internet service may be subject to more fluctuations and outages. No illegal or abusive use of the Internet access is allowed.
▪︎ CELLULAR ▪︎
Cell service may not be available at the property due to the rural nature and geography of the area and property.
▪︎ POWER ▪︎
The High Desert occasionally has power outages. We are not responsible for any general outages from our electric company.
▪︎ PHOTOSHOOTS ▪︎
No photoshoots are allowed on the property unless official county issued permit is obtained and confirmed. Additional fees may also apply. Unauthorized use of the rental property’s name, address, or images, including its interior, exterior, and / or private property surroundings, for any commercial use including but not limited to selling, advertising, TV, film production, electronic, or other media, is not permitted and we will seek to have any use removed.
▪︎ SPECIAL EVENTS ▪︎
Special events, such as weddings, retreats, corporate events, etc are not allowed without an official county issued permit and prior approval. Additional fees and restrictions may apply.
▪︎ POOL ▪︎
Guests agree to use the hot tub and stock tank pool at their own risk, and we are not liable for any personal injury or other damages associated with such use. Guests may not use glassware or ceramics in or near any the deck around the water tubs. If any glass or pottery ware is broken in or near a water amenity, you will be charged the full amount to drain and refill the amenity and for any lost revenue during such service. Guests may not leave minors unattended at any hot tub, pool or plunge pool.
▪︎ NOISE ▪︎
Guests agree to respect the county-wide noise ordinance of no amplified sound outside the property, and no amplified sound or loud noises inside OR outside after 10pm. We will have neighbors calling us to complain, which means that we have to call (or visit) you. Please respect the neighborhood and the people living within it.
▪︎SERVICE MAINTENANCE ▪︎
Guests shall allow the property owner or any workers access to the property for landscaping and maintenance, cleaning, repairs and inspections, including pool and hot tub repairs and service.
▪︎ TOILETS & SEPTIC ▪︎
This property runs on septic. Please only flush toilet paper, and nothing else. If the septic clogs during your stay due to a violation of this rule, your deposit might be waived pending plumbers quote.
▪︎ SMOKING ▪︎
Smoking is not allowed inside the house or within 10 feet of any exterior door. Please dispose of your extinguished cigarette waste into a closed container and then into the outdoor garbage can. Do not leave cigarette waste on the grounds. If these rules are violated, we will charge a minimum of $250.
▪︎ FIREPIT ▪︎
The propane fire pit may not be used for burning wood or any other materials (illegal as per county ordinance, and could damage the fixture). If any materials are burned in the fire pit, we will charge a minimum of $500 cleaning fee.
▪︎ FOOTWEAR ▪︎
Do not walk barefoot outside. The desert floor is not friendly for bare feet, please always wear footwear while walking on unpaved grounds.
▪︎ DESERT WARNINGS ▪︎
The High Desert has unique forms of animal and plant life, including coyotes, rattlesnakes, and bobcats, among others. These animals should be avoided altogether by Guests, other inhabitants of the Property, and guests of Guest, and Guest should take all necessary precautions to keep pets away from these animals. Plant life in the high desert includes, without limitation, chollas, Joshua Trees, and numerous forms of cacti. Contact with many of these plants can cause severe injury to Guest, other inhabitants, and guests of Guest, who should avoid contact with these plants altogether. Guest should also take precautions to keep pets away from these plants. Guest assumes all risk of harm from contact with animals and plants in the High Desert, and will hold us harmless against any claims for loss, injury or damages resulting from such contact.
▪︎ PROHIBITED ITEMS ▪︎
Unless communicated and agreed upon, DJ equipment (and PA speakers) are prohibited. Further more, the following items are damaging and are not allowed on the property. If you fail to follow these rules, you will be charged a cleaning fee:
