About the Space

Studio 1 is the ideal studio for small to medium sized fashion shoots and filming, editorial, ecommerce, castings, auditions, rehearsals and much much more. A daylight studio space with beautiful natural light, in Angel Islington, central London (zone 1) - we’re a short 3 mins walk from Angel station. This is a gem in the heart of London, located in a charming Georgian Townhouse, we're a 1st floor daylight photography studio with North and South facing natural light and full BLACK OUT options available. Directly outside is a self-contained courtyard which can be used as a shoot space, or for private parking (1 space available). Access to the rooftop area for shooting is available on request. Included in dry hire fee: - A permanent GREY artisanal microcement finished portrait wall - Backdrop / Colorama support system (paper backdrops on request - see below) - Refreshments (teas/Coffee) - Wifi 100 Mbps broadband - A private changing area - polyboards - lighting stands - Stereo / sound system - Free Parking space (onsite / off-road) The studio also has a wide range of hand painted canvas & paper backdrops / Coloramas available on request. Paper backdrops are all charged at £15/meter if used/soiled. We stock black/white/storm grey as standard, with various other colours available, please enquire! ALL BACKDROP REQUESTS MUST BE MADE 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE, so we can make sure we have what you need in stock. Additional lighting hire available (5 x Profoto and 6 x Elinchrom flash heads) at £20/head Numerous Light shaping tools, soft boxes, strips, umbrellas, dishes, stands, booms, grip, all available. Enhanced Health and Safety Measures
Enhanced cleaning measures:
  • The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
  • High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
  • A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
  • Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
  • Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
  • Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
  • Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
  • Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

Fabulous space to use with planty of natural light if needed. Bags of space for me to do portraits and you could do small fashion set ups in their for sure. Jon was in the buidling, in an office downstairs, so on hand if required. Very nice space which I hope to use again. Thank you

The studio is cozy, but smaller than it seems in the photo. Unfortunately, the floor near the wall is very uneven and the chair wobbles if you put it there.

A lovely studio extremely close to Angel station. Jon was a great host and had everything ready to go for us on time. Though it was an overcast day, the studio has amazing natural light, and through clouds or direct sun, we got great light to work with the whole time. The decor is a really nice natural / blank canvas to work with - we wanted to keep the space blank, but there is a lot of scope to change things up. We had a really productive shoot and would not hesitate to come back again.
