About the Space
A bedrock Bay Area arts nonprofit that’s dedicated to helping artists grow. We empower people to continue creating, thinking big, and taking weird and wonderful risks in today’s rapidly evolving world. Whether you need co-working space, event or meeting space, a space to create or a space to dream - enjoy a convenient location, natural light, and affordable rates, working with other creatives in arts and culture. We're located right outside Van Ness Muni station and 5 mins from Civic Center BART, making it a perfect location for commuters.

Parking description
Street parking and garages are available. Impark garage is located at 1390 Market Street, 94102. Another garage is located at 33 8th St. 94103.
General Rules
Renter will be responsible for complying with public health laws, orders, and guidelines. Such requirements and guidelines may require Renter to take measures such as:
- Limiting Event attendance after invitations are extended
- Requiring Event guests and Renter Parties to wear masks
- Checking guests’ temperatures upon entry
- Implementing distancing measures, including modifying table arrangements
Intersection will work with Renter on allowing Renter to carry out its creative vision for Event decorations, subject to the following:
- Only Intersection staff may rearrange or move any furniture or fixtures, including artwork.
- Renter may not use any nails, screws, staples, or any other penetrating items on walls, floors, or any other part of the Facility.
- No glitter or confetti is allowed in the Facility.
- Following the Event, Renter will properly remove any tape or other form of adhesive; Renter will pay for any damage in accordance with Section 8.3.
Renter will be responsible for ensuring that Event guests depart the Facility by the Event end time specified in the Plan.
Renter will vacate and return the Space to a safe, sanitary, and sightly condition by the clean-up end time set out in the Plan. Renter will return any furniture or equipment to its original location or designated storage space and make arrangements for pickup of rental items.
Renter will return to Intersection any equipment supplied by Intersection in the condition in which Intersection made it available. Renter will remove any equipment it brought into the Facility.
Renter will ensure that all waste is sorted into the appropriate trash, composting, or recycling bin, according to City of San Francisco guidelines.
If Renter charges admission for the Event, Renter will be solely responsible for all box office responsibilities, including setting ticket prices, selling tickets, and ticket taking at the door.
Renter will not admit persons to the Event beyond the number stated in the Plan.

There are two security cameras, one positioned at each entrance.
Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures
What we’re doing...
Investing in supplies & products to keep us safe:
Intersection has set up regular suppliers for hand sanitizer, high-strength disinfectant spray, disinfecting wipes, and soaps. There are ‘sanitizing stations’ placed strategically around the space with regular supplies of tissues/paper towel, hand sanitizer & disinfectant spray. Please make use of these supplies.
Implementing more rigorous cleaning & disinfecting protocols:
Intersection is working with our cleaning contractor to increase their regular services and to ensure they are targeting high touch surfaces for daily disinfecting. Door handles, railings, faucets, toilets, desk tops, arm rests, kitchen benches etc. will all be disinfected daily. During office hours Intersection staff will also be wiping down extra high touch areas (faucets, bathroom doors, meeting room doors, photocopier display).
Improving ventilation and air flow:
Following the SFDPH directive, we are working with our HVAC contractor to ensure our system is operating at the optimal level to provide strong ventilation and air flow. We are also fortunate to have functional windows at each end of the building which we will open when conditions allow.

Reconfiguring the space & creating traffic flows to make it safer:
We have reconfigured the space to allow for social distancing while working. Desks have been spaced out with at least 6ft between everyone and additional workspaces have been made available for those who need it. See attached plan of the reconfigured layout.
Enhanced cleaning measures:
- The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
- A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
The following equipment is provided for every guest:
- Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
- Hand Sanitizer
The space has the following features:
- Space has HEPA-certified air filters
- Space has been reconfigured to allow for physical distance
