About the Space
Side Street Studio is located in the Washington Heights area of Harlem. Just steps away from Riverside State Park and the Hudson River. The 1 train and A,B,C,D trains are all within short walking distance. This space can be utilized for a variety of events and creative activities: * Birthday parties * Baby showers & gender reveals * Small group & private dance classes * Photo and film shoots * Yoga/ meditation * Book clubs * Creative workshops * Personal training & small group fitness classes, (I offer gym equipment upon request.) * Small, intimate gatherings * Poetry & Spoken word readings * Use the projector & screen to host a movie night The first room is the most spacious and has a Bose speaker system, that can be linked to individual cell phones, via bluetooth. Other than bench seating in the entryway and along the perimeter of one wall-- there is no other furniture in this room. I can provide 8 folding chairs, a bench that seats 3-4 people, and 4 bar stools. For tables I offer a 3 x 3 ft square table, one 6 ft table that seats 6 -8, and one 10 ft table that seats 8-10 people. The second room is smaller and can be used as an extension of the main room. There is a small bathroom with a sink and toilet. The last room is also small and can be used as an office or a very basic kitchen space. There is minimal counter space, 1 burner hot plate, and a mini refrigerator/ freezer. You are welcome to use my cooler, (free of cost) This space is Ideal for small, intimate gatherings, 10-20 people. 45 people maximum.

- The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
- A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
- Capacity is limited based on governmental guidelines
- Space has HEPA-certified air filters
- Space has access to outdoor air ventilation

I would recommend this space for several reasons but the most Important reason is the host. Lisa is an extremely sweet person and she helped make my 6 year old niece’s party memorable. The space was the exact size we needed and I look forward to using uptown versatile studio if I need a space I. The future.

The space was perfect for me and my 22 guests for a birthday party. The speaker system is absolutely amazing and I love the location as well. Lisa is a great human being and was so communicative and active leading up to and during my booking!

Lisa's space really worked well for our event. We had a family party to celebrate the life of my husband's grandmother. The space is intimate but also has a separate counter area where we set up a bar and a second separate area where we set up food. It worked really well to have those things off the main space. The kids LOVED the mirror wall and acted out all kinds of play in it. Location is great - super convenient to the riverside park and easy for driving. Good food & coffee right around the corner. Lisa is a super responsive and accommodating host. We had all the things we needed including that iphone charger I forgot in the car. Thanks Lisa for enabling a great event.

This review was long overdue but, well deserved. Lisa was an amazing host. From the start of the booking process up til the very next day of checking out she did everything + more expected out of a well quality host. The space was great! Very similar space, good for intimate gatherings or events. I had a small birthday gathering & the space served the justice needed.

Fantastic space! Very kind, courteous and flexible host, who was available for any questions at all times. Bluetooth sound system was great, bathroom clean, and kitchen area was very helpful for setup. Spacious main area with a side room (we used for food/refreshments). Fans available, air filters, Wi-Fi - cooler and extra chairs/tables upon request. Lisa's studio space is the perfect place to host a birthday party for 15 - 25 people.

We rented this space for a child’s birthday party. The space was perfect! Not too small so it felt crowded but not too big where the party felt empty. Lisa was very communicative and very gracious in accommodating some requests like tables and chairs. We would definitely rent this space again!
