About the Space

Activities that work well in the space are: Film and photography Unique features of this space: #The space is located outdoors and is lake front. #Two backdrops: Yurt and all white fake front porch. #The yurt is 400 square feet and consists of a king bed, two reading chairs, electric fireplace, TV, dinning table. #The yurt's front deck has a small seating area. #There is foliage. #There is an outdoor full bathroom nice for shower scenes. #There are gorgeous sunsets over the lake.

Parking description

We accommodate up to 6 vehicles. Two would park on the grass next to the driveway and two on the driveway and 2 more on the street in front.

Lighting description

This is a yurt attached to a deck. Also known as a bell tent. You unzip the canvas to go in. Natural light cannot be controlled. There is outside spaces such as the boat dock with boat

Space is not soundproof

Ambient noise description

This is an outside space and the noise cannot be controlled. You are lakeside and planes fly above.

Equipment loading description

Access to the yurt is via small white square path to the back of the main house. The rest of the terrain till you reach the yurt is grass.

No staging area available

Some rooms are off-limits for shooting

Off limit is the main house.

Shooting the exterior of the building is allowed

Electrical system description

I do not know the power rating of the space. It's not commercial though. You have several outlets to access and have access to the yurt's breakers. Circuit breaker is located 6 feet from yurt area.

General Rules

#No smoking in the yurt - smoking allowed outside on the deck or by the fire pit and on boat dock. #No more than 4 persons at any one time - this is a very strict rule and may only be altered by specific booking - Inquire within.

All ages are allowed in the space

Production insurance is required

We are not liable for anything.

Furniture and decorations may be moved

You can move decorations but the the bed and TV out of the space

Smoke machines are allowed

Nudity is allowed

Security cameras and recording devices

There is a video security camera pointing towards the photography space (outside) and one pointing towards the parking space area inside the building. The cameras only turn on if it detects movement. They are not a consistent recording.

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.

Health and Safety Measures

The space is cleaned after each shoot. The space is outside and inside.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

Great shoot at this Yurt. Elsie is super friendly and helpful. The space is cool, with good privacy and room to work. The lake view is a bonus backdrop. I would book again for sure.

Really nice place! Host was very quick with responding. Even had other rentals at her place that she gave us access to while no one else was shooting there, which was great. It being right on the lake was also a pleasant surprise. Would recommend.
