About the Space
Welcome to the Alma Somerville! The Alma is a 487 sq ft, two-room creative gathering space for up to 30 people. Perfect for birthday parties, baby showers, rehearsals, performances, coworking sessions, workshops, meditation, art classes, and more! Its unique split-level setup is ideal for bringing people together while facilitating separate spaces. The street-level bottom room gets bright light during the day and is great for a small concert, comedy show, reading, or pop-up store. The more intimate lounge space up the stairs can be used as an extension space for whatever is going on downstairs, and on its own is a great space for more private meetings and work sessions. A variety of lighting options adapt the space for both daytime and nighttime activities. The Alma is here to be enjoyed creatively and you are welcome to move around any of the furniture to adapt the space to your needs! (You may notice a few different arrangements among the photos). Amenities include: -ten folding chairs -two folding 6-foot x 2 foot banquet tables -three small folding tables about a square foot each -a 3.1 cubic foot fridge if you'd like to store food -Samsung monitor -FREE WIFI Accessibility: There are two steps with a combined rise of about one foot to enter the ground level. Unfortunately we do not have a ramp or enough clearance for a ramp. To get to the second level, which is where the bathroom is, there are eight steps with a single handrail on the left if going up, on the right if going down. Note: The Alma is located in a mixed-use commercial and residential building on a mostly residential street. Out of respect for our neighbors, all events must end by the listed times.

- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
