About the Space

2,920 SF — 3 floors — Dedicated workspaces — 10-person Jacuzzi — Dogs welcome — Kid-friendly — Certified Green Business — 8 parking spots — Great for families and groups — Se habla español Our beautiful mountain home is five minutes from Alpine Meadows Ski Resort, with peaceful Bear Creek running right through our backyard. With bold retro vibes and luxe updates, like gigabit ethernet, premium bedding, and loads of other amenities and thoughtful touches, you can relax in style and comfort. We take pride in providing an inclusive, accessible vacation rental that is adaptive to guest needs, and we'd love to help craft a deeply relaxing stay for you and your guests. We welcome families, persons with disabilities or adaptive needs, older adults, and groups with dogs. Activities Some of the region's best hiking and mountain biking trails are just out the front doors. The Five Lakes Trailhead is just a half-mile away, leading to (you guessed it!) five stunning alpine lakes before it joins with the Pacific Crest Trail that runs from Mexico to Canada. And last but not least, the house comes with access to our community park with a mountain-stream-fed swimming pond with a sandy shore, tennis courts, bocce ball, and a large lawn area. Ten-Person Hot Tub We have a top-of-the-line Jacuzzi J495 that fits up to ten people in our backyard. It has unique jet patterns in each corner seat, a UV sterilizer, and customizable lighting. It's so relaxing after a day spent skiing, hiking, or climbing! Parking Our parking is unique in the Tahoe region: flat and level with space for eight cars! It takes about ten seconds to walk from the parking pad to the front door, and you walk along a gently-descending gravel path. Atmosphere The chalet's pine paneling, mid-century cabin accents, and plush furnishings create a warm and comfortable atmosphere for enjoying the mountains. The high cathedral ceilings and abundance of windows create a bright and open living area with unobstructed views of the mountains and creek. The decor reflects the history of the region, the house, and its occupants, with antique skis and trail maps, lovingly-restored mid-century lamps and fixtures, and unique, personal touches, like a firehouse ladder placed by the former owner - a firefighter - in honor of his friends. These local Tahoe firefighters flew to New York to assist at the World Trade Center on 9/11. The chalet's clean, mid-century lines combine seamlessly with its modern amenities, imbuing it with restrained sophistication. High-quality, warm LED lighting is controlled by dimmer switches, bathing the spaces in a cozy glow. This house is ideal for friends, family vacations, corporate getaways, and several couples traveling together. In short, it’s the perfect home base for exploring all the mountains have to offer!
