About the Space

Sunny, private and beautiful space located in the heart of Downtown San Mateo. Newly renovated with original hardwood floors, extraordinary natural light, high ceilings and so much more. This space has wonderful charm and is the perfect creative space to host your next event. Our spacious patio is shaded and can easily accommodate chairs and tables to make a great atmosphere for an outdoor event. Rental includes use of our indoor and outdoor spaces, sinks, refrigerator, (2) 6ft. folding tables and (10) chairs. We're conveniently located in Downtown San Mateo on 3rd Avenue near El Camino. Walking distance from Caltrain and many wonderful bakeries, restaurants and cafes. This quiet oasis is perfect for a baby shower, birthday party, dinner party, graduation celebration or any type of get together! Any questions or requests? Health and Safety Measures
Enhanced cleaning measures:
  • The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
  • High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
  • Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
  • Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
  • Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
  • Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
  • Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
The following equipment is provided for every guest:
  • Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
  • Hand Sanitizer

Yes, I would book again.

I hosted a bridal shower here this past weekend, and the experience was amazing. Ellen was responsive, pleasant, and made my party feel extremely comfortable. Access to the outdoor space was amazing, as we got to enjoy the beautiful San Mateo weather. And the indoor part was awesome as well, with its bright natural light. I would highly recommend this venue for your events.

Wonderful location - Ellen was great to work with and was very kind to share with us her space for a baby shower event I was hosting. Lots of lovely natural light, and the outdoor patio space was a bonus to have. Thank you!

Ellen was fantastic. She was super responsive and accommodating to our needs. We held a 30 people team painting workshop and she was able to help us through every step of the process a from providing us with a hand cart to making sure we wrapped up our event smoothly. Couldn't have asked for a better and more beautiful workshop space and coordinator. Thank you again! I

Yes, I would book again.

I had my daughter’s 18 birthday in this beautiful space! There are so many wonderful things I could say about my booking and experience. The host was very polite and accommodating from start to finish. She made the booking process very easy for me and was very responsive during the event. The space is just as lovely as it is in the photos. I would definitely book with Ellen and this venue again!
