We wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and a mask while cleaning. We start by thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, chairs, and other frequently touched areas. We use a disinfectant that is effective against COVID-19 such as one that contains at least 70% alcohol or bleach. We clean surfaces in a systematic way, starting from the top of the room and working our way down to the floor. We allow the disinfectant to sit on the surface for the recommended amount of time before wiping it off. We use disposable cleaning cloths or paper towels to clean surfaces, and launder reusable cloths in hot water and detergent after each use. We vacuum or sweep the floor and then mop it with a disinfectant solution. We open windows to increase air circulation if possible We clean and disinfect shared objects such as remote controls, microphones, and other equipment before and after use. Finally, we wash our hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
