IV. Permitted & Restricted Items in Private Offices and Common Areas
A. Personal Property
We are not responsible for any and all property you leave behind in and on the NuvoDesk Premises. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have retrieved all of your personal items prior to leaving.
If an item is lost and cannot be found by your person, we have a Lost & Found located in the back. All items will be kept for 90 days and then they will be donated to a charity of our choice.
Prior to the termination or expiration of your Shared Desk, Dedicated Desk and/or Private Office, you must remove all of your property from all Premises. After providing you with reasonable notice, we will be entitled to dispose of any property remaining in any of our Premises, and you waive any claims or demands regarding such property or our handling of such property.
You will be responsible for paying any fees reasonably incurred by us regarding removal of your property from us
B. Damage Property
You will be held liable and do hereby authorize us to charge you for the repair cost for all damage to our Premises and items therein caused by you or your guests, invitees or employees. The charges will include time and labor of our NuvoDesk staff to repair or schedule the repair of damages incurred, in addition to any supplies or materials needed for repairs.
C. Candles & Heating Elements Policy
Members are not allowed to keep or store candles in their private offices. Candles present a huge and potentially dangerous fire hazard; and due to NuvoDesk Coworking not requiring its Members to possess an individual insurance policy, we ask that all Members abide by this rule at all times.
Space heaters of any kind must be approved by staff prior to bringing them into your Dedicated Desk and/or Private Office. If granted permission to have one in your Private Office, it is mandatory to shut it off daily.
If you violate the Candles & Heating Elements Policy , you are subject to a $200 fine for every day that a space heater is left on, brought in without permission and/or candle brought and/or used or left in a Private Office.
If a member is caught violating the Candles & Heating Elements Policy of NuvoDesk that member will receive a verbal warning for the first violation that will be documented on their account, for a second violation they will receive a written email reminding them of the Candles & Heating Elements Policy of NuvoDesk, and a third violation will result in their membership being revoked. For any member that is attached to a corporate membership they will have any violations communicated to the main account holder.
D. Restricted Items Policy
Members are not able to bring in any items that can be flammable, explosive, excessive odor or potentially dangerous into the building at all times.
Members must be respectful to their fellow coworkers and their use of the Common Areas, Phone Booths, Collaboration Areas and Conference Rooms, by being mindful of their sound level and activity in all areas
This is a coworking space. We expect our members to make efforts to recognize the needs of others, and a balance should always be sought to recognize the needs of one, while not hindering the needs of another.

For any member that is attached to a corporate membership they will have any violations communicated to the main account holder.
V. Complimentary Beer & Wine Policy
Any member consuming alcoholic beverages must do so in a responsible manner and be of legal drinking age. If a Member or Member’s Guest becomes intoxicated, reserves the right to ask that person to leave the premises and call the Arlington Police Department if the need arises.
VI. Anit-Harassment Policy
All members are expected to respect, abide, and follow the Anti-Harassment Policy stated below at all times and in all situations, regardless of others actions.
Coworking is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of people at our events or space in any form. People violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the space or the event at the discretion of any Coworking member, guest and staff. Harassment includes:
Offensive verbal comments
Sexual images in public spaces
Deliberate intimidation
Stalking
Following
Photography or recording without consent at all times
Sustained disruption of talks or other events
Inappropriate and/or unwelcome physical contact
Unwelcome sexual attention
Sustained or Intentional Disruption of Conversation and /or Meeting
People asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Any behavior or action experienced as harassment will be responded to as such.
D. Conference Rooms Policy
Conference Rooms are available for the use of any of our members to use, whether they are utilizing conference room time that is a part of their membership or they are paying for their time for the conference room time under their membership.
Memberships are non-transferable between persons or parties. The member is responsible for all conference room time booked under their membership. During conference time booked under their membership, the member is required to be present at all times and will be responsible for any damage, or destruction, theft, or loss of any property from the conference room booked under their membership.
The fees for any missing, damaged, lost or stolen Conference Room Items are listed below:

In order to book a Conference Room you can do so through the member portal on a browser at nuvodeskarlington.spaces.nexudus.com or via the Proximity app on your phone. Once you book a Conference Room, the key for your Conference Room booked will pop up on your Proximity app under “My Keys”. Simply tap on the key for your corresponding Conference Room and it will open the door. The key will not appear until the time you booked the Conference Room for. Please plan your conference time accordingly to give yourself time to prepare for your meeting.
Please be mindful of any food and drink that you bring into the conference room. We request no hot foods to reduce any possibility of damage to the conference rooms. Once you are finished eating, please dispose of all remaining food and trash in the Common Area Kitchen trash cans. Please do not leave any items behind including dishes or personal belongings. Failure to do so will result in a cleaning fee of $50.
Be respectful to fellow coworkers and cancel any conference room reservations if you no longer have need of the space.

F. Podcast Room
The Podcast Room is only available during regular business hours Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. We do this to ensure support as needed for any trouble shooting and guidance on any issues during recording.
There is absolutely no food or drinks allowed in the Podcast Room at any time, for any reason. All food and drinks need to remain outside of the Podcast Room.
Please refer for troubleshooting problems with the Podcast Room. Do not try to repair any settings on the equipment without assistance. Please ensure that at the end of your use of the Podcast Room that all equipment is in the same working order and place that you found it.
During time booked in the Podcast Room under their membership the member is required to be present at all times and will be responsible for any damage, or destruction, theft, or loss of any property to the Podcast Room booked under their membership.
Please refer to the Podcast Room rental agreement for all fees and additional costs associated with utilizing the Podcast Room.
If a member is caught violating the Podcast Room Policy that member will receive a verbal warning for the first violation that will be documented on their account, for a second violation they will receive a written email reminding them of the Podcast Room Policy and a third violation will result in their membership being revoked. For any member that is attached to a corporate membership will have any violations communicated to the main account holder.
G. Common Lounge Area Policy
All levels of our memberships include access to our Common Lounge Areas.
We highly encourage all guests to wait in our Common Lounge Area to wait until the person they are meeting becomes available to them. During that time we encourage them to enjoy our complimentary beverages while they are waiting.
For our members, guests and employees we expect everyone to be respectful to those tenants and be mindful of noise, activity and interactions while in the Common Lounge Area. All members have use of the Common Areas so they can be productive and grow their respective businesses, while using the Common Areas, Phone Booths, Collaboration Areas and Conference Rooms all members, regardless of their level of membership, must be respectful of all others at all times.
We ask that for cleanliness no food be consumed in Common Lounge Areas due to the risk of stains to furniture. Please only eat in the Common Dining Area at all times.
If a member is caught violating the Common Lounge Area Policy k that member will receive a verbal warning for the first violation that will be documented on their account, for a second violation they will receive a written email reminding them of the Common Lounge Area Policy , and a third violation will result in their membership being revoked. For any member that is attached to a corporate membership will have any violations communicated to the main account holder.
Although we provide 24/7 access to the facility we are not a hotel. Anyone found using our facilities as a place for rest instead of a place for work will receive a verbal warning for the first violation that will be documented on their account, for a second violation they will receive a written email reminding them of the Common Lounge Area Policy, and a third violation will result in their membership being revoked. For any member that is attached to a corporate membership will have any violations communicated to the main account holder.
H. Common Dining Area
All levels of our memberships include access to our Common Dining Area.
For our members, guests and employees we expect everyone to be respectful to those tenants and be mindful of noise, activity and interactions while in the Common Dining Area. All members have use of the Common Areas so they can be productive and grow their respective businesses, while using the Common Areas, Phone Booths, Collaboration Areas and Conference Rooms all members, regardless of their level of membership, must be respectful of all others at all times.
We want to work together to keep our Common Area Kitchen as clean as possible at all times. We provide a dish brush, strainers, dish soap and disinfecting wipes to help do your part to keep our common areas tidy for all of our coworkers.
All plates, bowls, coffee mugs, cups, wine glasses, silverware and cooking utensils must be rinsed and clean, prior to placing them in the Common Area Kitchen dishwashers after use. Use the dishwashers that are marked “DIRTY” for rinsed dishware, silverware and cooking ware. Do not open any dishwashers that are marked as “RUNNING” to not stop the dish cleaning cycle.
There is no garbage disposal in the Common Area Kitchen sink. Please scrape all excess food into trash cans located in the Common Area Kitchen before loading dirty dishes into the dishwasher marked “DIRTY”.
Please be respectful of your fellow coworkers , only eat the food that is your own, for any food that you are eating with a strong odor please consume your food in another area other than the Common Kitchen & Dining Area.
All members and guests are welcome to use plates, bowls, coffee mugs, cups, wine glasses, silverware and cooking utensils from the NuvoDesk Common Kitchen Area.
Plates and bowls are on the island in front of the fridge. Coffee mugs, cups and wine glasses are located on the shelves about the sink. Silverware is located beneath the microwave and toaster oven. Cooking utensils can be found in the drawer beneath the Keurig and coffee urn.
We have an ice machine available for all members and guests to use. You can find it located below microwaves in the Common Kitchen & Dining Area. After using the scoop for ice please do not place the ice scoop in ice, replace it back in the holder on the wall directly next to the ice machine.
The refrigerators will be cleaned and emptied each Friday. Please remove any items that belong to you, any food that has been left in a food storage container and/or lunch bag will be emptied and placed in the Common Kitchen & Dining Area Lost & Found.
Any items that have developed any form of mold in them will be disposed of immediately, regardless of the day of the week to maintain a safe, clean environment for all guests and members at all times.
