About the Space

This affordable showroom studio is perfect for your next photo shoot, music video, pop up shop, yoga class or creative project. In the heart of Cambridge, MA, our showroom studio is located on the second floor in the Cambridgeside Galleria mall. With a bohemian feel combined with a modern, minimal edge, this space creates a variety of possibilities within one room. You can shoot beautifully with the soft natural light that pours in from the roof of the mall or shoot with lights. We have made all the furniture movable so you can curate the space to your visual needs. This space also serves as a sewing studio for a local fashion designer who provides onsite wardrobe styling and the possibility to use sample clothing for your photoshoot for an additional fee. Cambridgeside Galleria offers paid parking in the parking deck below the mall. Metered parking is also available around the mall.

Space has natural light

Lighting description

Our showroom has a combination of indirect natural light and artificial light, the natural light pours in from the glass roof of the mall where the studio is located. There are no windows where the light comes in directly. Where the the studio is naturally brightest between 10 am and 2 pm.

Space is not soundproof

Ambient noise description

There is minimal talking noise from foot traffic and background music in the mall. The noise can affect a voice recording situations that needs pure silence in the background but can work with other recordings such as podcasts or interviews.

There is a freight elevator and also regular elevator then last there is an escalator.

Staging area is available

We have a small side room for make up and hair

Some rooms are off-limits for shooting

All shooting outside the showroom must be pre approved with management and cannot affect foot traffic.

Shooting the exterior of the building is allowed

Electrical system description

We have 6 outlets in the showroom on both sides of the space. The circuit breaker is in our backroom storage space but is locked and needs management to unlock to avoid tampering.

General Rules

General Rules •Your rental time includes set up and break down, overtime will be charged at 30 min increments. •No smoking inside building •No alcohol without prior arrangements •No glitter •No fog machines •All garbage must be bagged and left in garbage right outside the studio •Renter must leave with all props and things they bring into space •Rentals must conclude by the time agreed upon •We can provide minimal usage with other places within the mall only with prearranged permission. Otherwise, shooting is restricted to within the studio only.

All ages are allowed in the space

Production insurance is not required

Furniture and decorations may be moved

Most of the fixtures in our space can be moved except for the wall art.

Health and Safety Measures

In between all photoshoots our studio is cleaned and disinfected.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

The following equipment is provided for every guest:
