About the Space

Our primary studio space is an 18x20 ft sound-treated white-box studio with full wrap around black curtain and is perfect for teleprompter reads, product demos, interviews, talking heads, podcasts and more. We also have a lounge, private dressing room, hair and makeup room all included in the base package. Additionally, we have a conference room, scene shop and production offices available as an add-on. You are welcome to shoot in any of these rooms, though they dont have the sound cloud in the grid and plugs in the window like the main studio does. Our base booking package comes with 4 aputure nova panels, sidus link app on an ipad and basic grip package (c-stands, apple boxes etc)

Lighting description

We have large east facing windows. In our main studio space we have wood and vinyl plugs in the windows to block light (and sound!) but they can be removed upon request.

Space is not soundproof

Ambient noise description

Our room isnt technically soundproof, but it is sound-conditioned. We have large plugs in the windows to help deaden outdoor sound (we are on the 6th floor of a moderately busy street in South Philadelphia). We also have rock wool sound clouds in the grid and (removable) carpet mats on the floor.

Equipment loading description

We are located in the Bok Building - which has two loading docks, extra wide hallways and large elevators. There are loading zones to park in while you unload, but your car/truck most be moved afterwards.

Staging area is available

We have dedicated hair and makeup room, dressing room and lounge all included in the case package. We also have a separate conference room, scene shop and production offices with cubicles available as an add-on.

All rooms are available for shooting

Shooting the exterior of the building is allowed

Electrical system description

We are in an former high school/industrial space and have never had issues with power. We have retractable power with strips on either side of the studio and additional outlets in the back of the room.

Circuit breaker can not be accessed

General Rules

No smoking or vaping in the building. Outside catering is allowed, but we also have many great options for food right in the building

All ages are allowed in the space

Production insurance is not required

Furniture and decorations may be moved

Furniture can not be removed from the building, but can be moved backstage or into the scene shop

Smoke machines are allowed

No nudity allowed

Security cameras and recording devices

We have a ring camera in the main studio, backstage and main hallways

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.

Health and Safety Measures

We have a regularly scheduled bi-monthly cleaning service and wipe down surfaces in between shoots.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

The following equipment is provided for every guest:

Disposable masks / face coverings
Disposable gloves
