2 White Place is an adorable micro building in the heart of vibrant Brookline Village, perfect for photo shoots, workshops, or team off-sites. It includes a main room, restroom, and lower-level meeting and refreshment space. The building was used for many years as a photography studio, then creative headquarters for a Boston-based business. Now, we can share and enjoy this picture-perfect pint-sized building together! Perfect uses: - Photo shoot - Workshop space - Classes - Creative team off-sites - Cozy private events (no parties) - Private dinners - Coworking - Art show (no attachments to the wall) - Professional development events - Company retreat - Business, retail, and restaurant concept testing (subject to Town permitting: you are responsible for all required permissions, for example, health department) - Demos and consumer focus groups The Neighborhood: Brookline Village is a bustling commercial district with award-winning restaurants, ample shopping, and easy access via the T, bus, BlueBikes, and car. Some of our favorite restaurants include Omori Izakaya for sushi, Mahaniyom for Thai small plates, Orinoco for South American cuisine, Blossom Bar for cocktails, and Brothers and Sister Co. for healthy food and coffee shop fare, but the list goes on! Favorite shops include Curds and Co. for gourmet provisions and cheeses, and Cadeau for an elevated boutique. Close to Longwood Medical Area, Coolidge Corner, Route 9, and with easy access to downtown, Brookline Village is situated ideally for a workshop or pop-up. Space: **First floor** includes a stylish 450sf sun-filled room with cute shopfront glass and windows facing all sides. The room is amply lit with globe lights and smart track lighting, adjustable to cool or warm light for retail, work, or social vibes. There are reconfigurable tables and comfortable chairs, a cozy seating area, and a small restroom. Glass front door can be unlocked for direct street entry. Feel free to customize and decorate the space to your taste, but nothing may be connected or adhered to the walls. Bring your own A-frame sign to set up outside in our private entry area. Current furniture includes four white reconfigurable 6-foot tables (flip top to roll away) and eight storable ergonomic chairs. Additional furniture may be arranged in advance for an additional fee. Access to the first floor requires a small step up, so the space is unfortunately not ADA accessible. **Lower level** (stairs required) is daylit with windows and includes meeting space with central table and chairs, large screen smart TV and webcam, refreshment area with sink and mini-fridge, and a back storage area (host use only). Central meeting table and eight stylish midcentury chairs are well-suited to a meal or meeting. Amenities and Features: Business-grade wifi is available throughout the space. Space includes reconfigurable furniture and a clean, modern design. Both levels are heated and air conditioned with a modern, efficient mini-split system. We’re located in the Brookline Village commercial district, at the beginning of a residential street. We enjoy a harmonious relationship with our neighbors. We ask that noise be kept inside the space and that reservation end times be adhered to strictly. Any neighbor complaints, unauthorized parties or event types, or higher-than-allowable guest attendance will result in loss of booking privileges and additional cleaning fees. Special Rates and Fees. Non-profit discounts may be available, depending on booking requirements. Recurring events will receive additional discounts by arrangement. Contact us to discuss multi-use packages. Higher capacity events may be booked with an additional charge with prior approval. Photo and Video Shoots: Our space is bright and photo-ready. While video shoots are welcome, because we’re located next to the Green Line T tracks, periodic train noise can interfere with sound. Please note that there is no storage outside of the bookable space, and load-in must not block the residential road. See FAQs for shoots. Security and Space Care: Please return all furniture to the level you found it on. Space should be left locked (both doors) on departure. For the environment, please turn off lights and turn down both thermostats (first and lower level) to 65 degrees on departure. Guest is responsible for any damage to the space during the reservation period or during the use of the space. Any mess caused by guests’ animals will incur an additional $250 cleaning fee.
