History of the Space Nestled in the heart of Oakland, our studio at 828 Harrison Street is a modern ode to the city's rich history. Once an industrial space, the building has been transformed into a versatile studio that marries contemporary aesthetics with architectural remnants of the past. The exposed brick walls and lofted areas speak to its storied past, making it a space brimming with character. Neighborhood Details Located a couple blocks away from downtown Oakland, our studio is surrounded by near an eclectic mix local shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Just a short stroll away, you can discover local murals, historic landmarks, and bustling markets. Whether you're in the mood for a gourmet meal or a casual food truck bite, the neighborhood promises a culinary adventure. Studio A & B at Red Heron Studios Studio A: * Vocal Room: A soundproof sanctuary perfect for vocalists and voice-over artists to capture crystal-clear recordings. * Open Area: Modeled after a cozy living room, this versatile space is ideal for photoshoots, podcast recordings, and live acoustic sessions. With comfortable seating and an inviting ambiance, it also serves as a dynamic rehearsal area for bands, singers, and rappers. Studio B: * Multi-use Space: Echoing the versatility of Studio A but with a more intimate feel, Studio B is equipped for a variety of creative pursuits from music production to podcasts, without the addition of a vocal booth. Special Rates Associated with Booking the Space Non-profit organizations receive a 10% discount. Bookings exceeding 5 hours will have a 5% discount on the total amount.
