Just renovated 5bd/4ba home in Portola Valley: a scenic 10-15 min drive to Stanford University, Palo Alto and I-280. Spacious, tranquil Portola Valley home. From the vast outdoor deck, to the fireplace, and the towering trees visible through the home’s beautiful picture windows, this clean, modern, fully furnished space is multi-faceted. Portola Valley’s renowned trails overlooking the San Francisco Bay are conveniently located just 100 paces away. The house is on two, expansive levels. The front entrance to the primary living space, upstairs, is located off of the broad, main deck (accessible via a wide staircase from the covered parking below), and the back entrance off the back patio is accessible along a level path through the trees. In the upstairs, you’ll find a modern, open-concept living and dining area with brand-new furnishings as well as a beautiful kitchen fully stocked with cookware and dinnerware for making meals at home or entertaining. Down the central hall, sleeping accommodations for up to five guests upstairs include: a master suite (King-sized bed) with cathedral ceiling, gas fireplace, built-in desk and cabinetry with French doors opening onto patio and master bath with natural stone countertops, jetted tub, walk-in closet and access to Zen garden outdoor shower; a guest suite (queen-sized bed) with wall-to-wall views of the outdoors, a private bathroom and separate entrances from the deck and driveway; and a bright office space with a twin-sized day bed and full guest bath across the hall (also handy for guest use). There is also a brand new washer/dryer located in the upstairs hall closet. Below the large deck, on ground level, enter through french doors to a spacious and bright additional garden apartment. The inviting main living space is furnished with comfy couches and a flat-screen TV, and also has a modern dining area, well-lit desk space and stocked kitchenette. This apartment has one bedroom (queen-sized bed), a full bathroom, wine cellar, downstairs laundry room and a king bed in the multipurpose room for additional guests.

Welcome! We’re excited to have you as our guests in the beautiful Los Trancos Woods of Portola Valley. GUEST ACCESS Check in—There are two sets of house keys: one upstairs located in the lockbox by the back patio door and one downstairs located in the lockbox by the first set of French doors to the garden apartment on ground level. The entire house is your private space for the duration of your stay. Enjoy! Parking—feel free to park in the upper level driveway (outside gated master suite) or in the designated parking spots to the right in the main driveway upon entering. Check out— 10AM check out unless otherwise arranged. We may have guests the same day you depart and housekeeping is scheduled accordingly. Please lock up and return house keys to their respective lockboxes. AMENITIES WiFi—Network: lostrancos Passcode:176lostrancos (router located in upstairs hall closet if you need to reboot) *please note cell service is very limited in Portola Valley so connect all devices to WiFi for ease of use. TV—connected through HD WiFi. Press red power button on remote to turn on, then press the home icon button to connect and sign-in to any of your streaming subscriptions (Netflix, hulu, prime, etc.) Laundry—there is one washer and dryer set in the upstairs hall closet. There is also a downstairs laundry room accessed through the first door located on the ground level of the main driveway. Master fireplace—controlled by thermostat located next to the door and above the night table. Turn side switch from “off” to “heat.” Move top switch past red indicator (to a temperature higher than that for which the room is already set). Tricky bit: if fire does not light right away, tap the side switch up just a touch and that should do it. EXTRAS— HOUSE UPKEEP We will arrange a housekeeper at the end of your stay. If you visit for an extended period and would like additional house cleaning, please let us know and we will coordinate. The landscaper comes once a week, mostly to leaf-blow the deck and surrounding upstairs area. No smoking Please remove shoes inside to preserve the hardwood floors. Help us conserve energy by keeping the AC at 68 degrees and switching to “off” when the home is empty and in the evenings. Please place all furniture back as you found it before check out If you are able, please strip beds upon your departure and start a load of towels (big help to our housekeepers for turnover!) Please do not use wood burning fireplace in the upstairs living room. GARBAGE Please collect and consolidate all garbage & recycling into the curbside bins (on the upper level driveway, outside master suite). FURNITURE We appreciate you returning any furniture you may have moved back to its original position. LAUNDRY If you can strip the beds and start a load of sheets before you take off, that would be a big help to our housekeeping team! If not, no worries - we understand that check-out is a busy time. KEYS Please replace the keys in the lockbox on your way out.
