History of the Space: As a photographer, I was immediately drawn to this space by its incredible natural light and expansive size. Located in what was once part of the historic Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery, our studio is now part of a vibrant artist community that has flourished since the 1970s. Surrounded by creative neighbors, a charming restaurant at the heart of the property, and a nearby climbing gym, our studio offers a unique and inspiring environment just a mile from Chinatown and conveniently close to major freeways like the 5, 101, and Pasadena Freeway. Neighborhood Details: Our studio is nestled in a dynamic area, known for its creative energy and close-knit artist community. The location is incredibly accessible, with easy connections to major freeways and ample parking on site, ensuring a hassle-free experience. The neighborhood offers a mix of eateries, shops, and recreational spots, making it a well-rounded destination for your photography sessions or events. Logistics: Spanning over 6,000 square feet, our studio features ceilings that soar over 20 feet high, with large windows that wrap around two entire perimeter walls, flooding the space with natural light (which can easily be blacked out with our wrap around curtain). One of our standout features is the cyclorama wall, measuring 40 feet by 45 feet with a height of 20 feet, complemented by a natural cement floor that clients have come to love. The studio includes a fully equipped kitchen, two bathroom stalls, and a dedicated glam room for makeup and styling. We also have a second floor that is currently under construction and not yet available. For equipment needs, we work closely with OTMFC, a rental house located right next door. They offer everything required for a successful shoot, and we can easily arrange gear through them, streamlining the process for our clients. Special Rates and Policies: While we do offer flexibility on a case-by-case basis, our standard rates apply consistently, especially through platforms like PeerSpace. Our space is primarily a photography studio, and while we do allow smaller, scaled-down video productions, it’s important to note that this is not a video production location. Past Projects: Our studio has been the backdrop for a variety of commercial shoots, magazine editorials, album covers, and even intimate events like small dinner parties. With a capacity of up to 120 people, the space is versatile and ready to accommodate your creative projects or special gatherings.
