No, I would not host them again.
"Starting with the positive - I thought Michael was a really kind, wonderful person and I thought everyone he brought onsite was very polite and cooperative, and when I did come in with notes about mask usage the crew complied and apologized, which I appreciated. He was communicative near the end of his booking to make sure I knew he was close to the end of filming as his booking came to a close, and had everyone out of the space within 10 minutes after his booking ended. I think had we booked this rental during a time other than Covid he would have been a perfect renter - during the booking he was communicative and respectful. However, we had multiple issues with Covid protocol during this rental that concerned me greatly. After a lengthy phone call detailing how crucial it was to follow our guidelines to ensure safety for the cast and crew, I was disappointed to see that Michael disregarded our rule that only 10 people were allowed onsite at a time and instead had closer to 15, after being expressly told we could not accommodate 15 and it had to be 10 or less due to ventilation concerns. We were able to move a few people to a secondary room, but since they spent the entire session in the room and seemed non-essential to the project, it was a little frustrating that they were onsite if they didn't need to be. Additionally, I had to repeatedly remind the cast to wear masks onsite, a rule that was stressed in our booking guidelines and on the phone. Michael agreed to having his crew wear masks in between shots, and several times I peeked my head in the theater to see there was no recording happening and people still unmasked, and additionally masks were off before filming even began (I had to make several pleas within a 10-minute window before shooting began, and I noticed that people would put masks on only to remove them once I left the room). He did say many of his cast/crew had recently passed Covid tests and we do allow groups to record small sections without masks, but I did feel the lack of consistency with regard to mask usage was still concerning, especially since the room was at a higher capacity than anticipated. I also requested consistent mask usage in the hallways and common areas, and this was not practiced consistently, which jeopardizes our relationship with our landlord (our hallways are monitored by security cameras). I take the health and safety of anyone using our space incredibly seriously, and this booking caused a lot of stress on our end and a lot of concern for my personal health as well, even if I really did like the cast and crew involved in this project immensely.
