At Peerspace, we believe that access to creative space is a right, not a privilege. Space for Change supports the creative visions of historically underrecognized communities by providing access to unique and inspiring spaces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this program, recipients have been able to give a voice to those often quieted through the creation of podcasts, photoshoots, short films, and workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corine Olarte<\/strong> – @corineolarte<\/em><\/a>
With their Peerspace credit, Corine brought to life an ongoing photo series titled “Queer Between the Lines”. This series explores the subtleties and complexities of queer identity – both loud and quiet, both joyful and angry, but always present and undeniably real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With his Peerspace credit, Kimani executed a three-part photo shoot, titled Ascendance<\/em>, Dreaming of Saturn<\/em>, and Triumph<\/em>. Each series embraced the theme of ascension, drawing from Kimani\u2019s Ghanaian heritage, adolescence, and personal journey as a photographer striving to reach a higher level in their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This couture capsule was inspired by florals and the dichotomies between hard and soft, as well as transparent and opaque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With her Peerspace credit, Patricia hosted photo and video sessions for three personal trainers of color as part of her workout app, Quiktivity, which is committed to bringing inclusiveness in the fitness industry by amplifying people of color and minorities and creating content that normalizes bodies of different colors, shapes, sizes, and abilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
