Enhanced COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures

A full COVID procedural guide is supplied to all attendees at the studio in advance.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High-touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitiser with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

The following equipment is provided for every guest:

Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
Hand Sanitiser

About the Space

Production Space Usable area is a single space approximately 9m x 4.5 m with an insulated floor, adjacent changing area, toilet and shower, and refreshment area. The studio calendar can be found here: http://teamup.com/ksbd97858700f5f378/ There is a 50% surcharge for video work, but a discount on all longer bookings and regular bookings. Heating is controlled remotely and is turned on in colder weather before arrival of anyone working there. Tea, herbal tea, instant coffee, cane sugar and semi-skimmed milk are provided free of charge with recyclable beakers and compostable tea bags. Please advise us in advance if any attendee has any food or other allergies. White, black and chromakey green vinyl backdrops on motorised control and plenty of other options. Please ask if there is something specific you want. The studio is home to one of only two digital Scene Machine virtual background systems in Europe. Maximum camera lens filter size that fits is 87mm. Threaded filter mount essential on the lens. Six Godox stills heads with a variety of softboxes and reflectors, plus Interfit and Bowens backups, Lastolite Hilite background system, several continuous lights, grey card WB check, several camera top remote control flash triggers. All electrical items are PAT tested annually. The owner is an internationally published commercial photographer covering fashion and product photography, dance, glamour, fine art nude and erotica, and has advanced direction skills for ballet dancers in particular.

The main yard has free spaces but limited at times as it shared with two other businesses. There is free on street parking just outside the yard.

Lighting description

This is a black-out studio. All lighting is artificial (but extensive).

Space is not soundproof

Ambient noise description

To be fair - yes and no. The studio is isolated, and by 4 pm weekdays daily the neighbours have gone. On Saturdays the studio is quiet by 12 noon. Video with audio is always recommended after 4 pm weekdays, and 12 noon Saturdays.

Equipment loading description

A ramp is advisable as there is a small lip to the double doors' frame. The yard is rarely busy until 9.30 am , quiet from about 3.00 pm and generally empty from 4.00 pm.

Electrical system description

Single phase 240V AC with the circuit breakers all easily accessible just inside the main entrance.

General Rules

No smoking in the building. No combustible materials to be used in a shoot; (some exceptions apply with advance notice when the proprietor is present). Outside catering is allowed but please note that there is limited catering space. No alcohol to be consumed. Nude work permitted but no hardcore adult content. Children (UK Year 11 and younger) undertaking paid modelling work must be licensed by their Local Education Authority and chaperoned. Licence to be produced at the start of the shoot. For those unfamiliar with the procedure we can assist with the application process. Vaccinated attendees only. Nobody allowed to attend not directly involved in any shoot. Full COVID procedure supplied at attendees.

Furniture and decorations may be moved

There is no wall decoration per se. Furniture can be used outside in fine weather.

Security cameras and recording devices

The neighbouring premises has video covering our parking area which provides additional security for us. The premises itself has no internal video recording.

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.
