Our photo studio is a unique creative space in an old grain warehouse on the banks of the River Colne, in Colchester, Essex. The studio is on the first floor of the building and is accessible via wooden stairs. The studio is a rectangular room with a changing area behind the backdrop and a changing screen at one end. The room is completely private there is only one small window which looks out on to the river. The room itself has an original old wooden floor, one wall is painted white brick another has a wallpapered screen which has print on both sides and at the top end of the room the wall is painted grey which can also be used for portraits. The studio is fully kitted out with a backdrop stand, backdrop rolls and four Bowens lights and various light modifiers and boxes. Included in the hire is the use of the white vinyl backdrop for high key shots or the black cotton backdrop for low key portraits. the room is heated and downstairs there is a unisex toilet and a kitchen to make drinks. We are situated right around the corner from Colchester Hythe train station and close to a Tesco, a Subway and Pizza take away. There are also a couple of shops very close to the studio in walking distance just a few doors away where you can buy snacks, milk etc
