The heart of this rural smallholding is a renovated, traditional stone cottage, dating from 1758. You will never find another like it. The entire building, inside and out, has been painstakingly and lovingly restored, offering a rare window to the lost world of the 18th Century. The spacious main room, with its soaring cathedral-like panelled ceiling and Oregon pine floor, is an ideal event space or the perfect stage for photography, a movie scene or video. Outside the cottage, sprawling, rustic gardens are separated by ancient stone walls. A mature arboretum presents further opportunities filming or for over-flow guests. The cottage and gardens are completed secluded, with no visibility possibly from the road or any other inhabited properties. The compound has many other features which may be accessed by guests: a traditional Finnish sauna, an organic vegetable garden and orchard; an apiary; a nuttery. Animals en site are available for inclusion in filming activities, e.g. cows, sheep, hens, horses, donkeys, guinea pigs and goats. Parking is unlimited.
