Wood-fired Cedar Sauna and Cold Plunge

Welcome to our Rainforest Ucluelet Sauna. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of our forested backyard, where you'll discover an authentic wood-fired cedar sauna, a refreshing cold plunge tub, and an invigorating outdoor cold shower. Our sauna space is a West Coast oasis that accommodates up to 6 people, providing ample room for everyone to comfortably enjoy the experience together. Inside the sauna, you'll find two tiered benches that allows everyone to relax and unwind and enjoy the ample benefits of wood-fired saunas. Step outside and find yourself in a captivating outdoor zone complete with a cold-plunge vintage claw tub, a refreshing outdoor shower with minty natural body wash, a handcrafted yew tree recliner and cedar bench, to cool off and take in the natural beauty around you. A fire pit with additional seating is available to be used when fire bans are not in effect. The sauna is nestled behind our house amongst the trees which provides privacy from neighbours and the street. A mini fridge and Bluetooth speaker are available for use to set the perfect ambiance with your favourite tunes. As you plan your visit, remember to bring your own towels and beverages to enhance your time here. Our sauna, a true labour of love, has been handmade with dedication and care. It’s been our warm-up post surf sessions and recharge zone which we’re excited to share with you. We kindly ask that you treat this space with the utmost respect, honouring the craftsmanship that went into its creation. Your co-host and builder, Markus, is the visionary behind this sauna sanctuary, rooted in his Estonian heritage of sauna culture. Growing up in a family that cherished both enjoying and building saunas, Markus's passion for outdoor adventures and unique sauna experiences has led him to craft numerous saunas over the years. This backyard rainforest sauna stands as a testament to his accumulated expertise, meticulously refined through his journey of building and perfecting these spaces.
