This apartment occupies the garden floor of a two-family Renaissance Revival brownstone built in 1902 by prolific Brooklyn architect, Axel Hedman. It’s situated on a quiet, tree-lined residential street in the Crown Heights Historic District.   This two bedroom apartment combines original period architectural detail such as wainscoting, shutters, and a striking fireplace with a mid-century design aesthetic. The bay windowed open plan living/dining space leads into a modern kitchen that features soapstone countertops and a Butler sink.   A long hallway leads to the bright primary bedroom, which has a closet with full length drapes, and two large south-facing windows. There’s an additional bedroom across the hall with plenty of natural light. It’s sparsely furnished, so it can be used for storage or as a dressing room (a clothes rack is available).
