About The Space

The Space is a unique, art-forward venue that hosts regular art exhibitions, open-mic nights, music and dance performances, and wellness events. Located on the second floor of a historic building in the heart of a charming, vibrant suburban business district, the venue is surrounded by an eclectic mix of shops and excellent restaurants—perfect for guests looking to extend their experience beyond the event itself. Run by an artist and home to ongoing art shows, classes, and meditation sessions, The Space carries a naturally creative and uplifting energy. One of the first things guests often comment on when they arrive is simply how good it feels to be here. The gallery features a 1,000-square-foot open layout with 12-foot ceilings and soft, indirect natural light. Upon entering, the room feels open, welcoming, and full of possibilities. A cozy seating area includes upscale armchairs, a sofa, a coffee table, and natural plants—an ideal spot for gathering, relaxing, or enjoying meaningful conversation. Two large tables are available and can be arranged to suit your needs: as buffet tables, dining tables, meeting tables, or moved aside entirely to maximize open floor space. Please note that furniture is intentionally movable, and layouts may vary from what you see in the photos. The Space is designed to be highly flexible—you can leave the center open as a dance floor or fill it with tables for seated events. The layout is entirely up to you. In the left corner of the room is a bar area with an 8-foot counter, refrigerator, coffee machine, hot water kettle, toaster oven, and ample surface space for food and beverages. Please note that there is no sink or running water within the Space; the nearest sink is located in the bathroom. There is also a small corner office area that is off limits and is not included in the 1000 sq foot usable space. The main gallery area comfortably accommodates up to 75 guests. Accessibility Note: The Space is located on the second floor of a historic building and does not have an elevator. There are two entrances—356 Bloomfield Ave and 5 S Willow St—both requiring two flights of stairs. Unfortunately, the venue is not wheelchair accessible.

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures

The host is responsible for cleaning up after their event. That includes clean up of utensils and plates or any additional eating and drinking materials brought in from outside, general clean up of surfaces, sweeping up of floors, and repositioning of furniture if it has been moved around. A more thorough cleaning of floors and surfaces are provided by the owner after an event by a cleaning service.

Cancellation Policy

Flexible

Guests may cancel their Booking until seven days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between seven days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn More

All Bookings are subject to Peerspace’s Grace Period policy which provides a full refund for Bookings cancelled within 24 hours from receipt of a Booking Confirmation but no later than 48 hours prior to the Event start time.
