About 23 Chestnut

A cinematic 1850s Victorian mansion offering multiple distinctive looks under one roof for film, photography, music videos, interviews, branded content, and other productions. Past productions have included short films, music videos, photo shoots, and video projects. The house combines authentic historic character with practical production features that make it easy for cast and crew to work efficiently. Multiple Looks, One Location One of the biggest advantages of the property is the ability to create dramatically different scenes without relocating your production. Move from a grand Victorian foyer to a library, formal dining room, vintage bar, bright parlor, intimate conservatory, kitchen, bedrooms, and exterior settings while keeping cast, crew, and equipment in one location. Production-Friendly * Excellent southern exposure with large windows and abundant natural light * Layered curtains and dimmable interior lighting for additional light control * Very quiet, low-traffic residential setting well suited to dialogue and interviews * Fully updated electrical system with ample outlets throughout the house * Easy load-in with vehicle access directly to both primary entrances * Front double doors and side French-door access, both with only three steps * Off-street parking for approximately 15 vehicles, depending on vehicle size and configuration * 500 Mbps Wi-Fi * Four bathrooms * Multiple rooms for hair and makeup, wardrobe, changing, talent holding, and production support * Ground-floor areas available for staging empty cases and non-valuable support equipment * Overnight equipment storage inside the house can be arranged for consecutive-day productions * Exterior filming around the house and grounds is available Shooting Spaces The Foyer: A dramatic curved staircase with mahogany railings, black-and-white checkerboard floors, a large-scale oil painting, and hand-painted botanical mural. Ideal for establishing shots, entrances, portraits, and scenes requiring immediate visual impact. The Main Dining Room: A grand formal room with a large dining table and classic architectural details, suited to table scenes, interviews, and group setups. The Conservatory: An intimate room with large windows, soft natural light, comfortable seating, and a fireplace. The Parlor: Bright and versatile with excellent natural light. Well-suited to interviews, lifestyle shoots, portraits, and dialogue scenes. The Library: A warm, character-filled central room with an open flow into surrounding spaces, allowing for varied camera angles and multi-scene setups. The Bar: A distinctive vintage setting that provides an entirely different cinematic look without leaving the property. The Kitchen: A charming, visually textured setting for food, lifestyle, and casual interior scenes. Additional second- and third-floor rooms can be made available based on production needs, including bedrooms for filming and separate spaces for hair and makeup, wardrobe, changing, and talent holding. Furniture and smaller decorative pieces can often be repositioned when reasonable for the production. If you have specific rooms, setups, equipment, access, or multi-day needs, share them when you inquire. We’re happy to help determine the best way to use the property for your shoot.
