About Gurnet Village

Step into a visually rich and quintessentially Maine setting at this one-of-a-kind collection of buildings with classic New England character. Located on a serene inlet in Brunswick, Maine, this charming coastal property offers a unique combination of rustic charm and natural beauty. THREE interior spaces are offered for your consideration and use - The Cottage, the Galley, & the Bait House The 700 sq. ft. Cottage has ocean views out of most windows and features shiplap walls, double height ceilings, vintage coastal-inspired décor, and a cozy wood stove, creating a warm and inviting interior that is full of character. Its airy, open living area can be made into a meeting room accommodating 8 people around temporary tables. The Galley (400 sq. ft.) is a Summer Kitchen located in a converted lobster pound that overlooks the water and dock, providing a picturesque backdrop. Interior exposed wood walls, a long central dining table, and a blend of utilitarian and rustic elements. It is equipped with a full kitchen setup, suitable for cooking demonstrations or used as the meeting room with a large table comfortably seating 8. The Bait House (150 sq. ft.) is a small shack with aged wooden interior full of patina, history, and coastal grit. It is still actively used by local fishermen — a living piece of working heritage. It is elevated on stilts directly over the water with atmospheric light and detail. Perfect for documentary-style shoots, moody portraits, or narrative storytelling EXTERIOR Outside is where the magic truly happens. The buildings on the property showcase a timeless New England aesthetic, with weathered cedar shingles, wood cladding, and even touches of Carpenter Gothic styling—think charming rooflines, overhangs, and finely detailed trim. Features such as buildings perched over the water, a tidal beach, a floating dock, and a charming brick courtyard giving plenty of on-site parking. Together, they create a backdrop that feels both rooted in history and perfectly suited for meetings that want a sense of place.
