Welcome to Solt Room - The People's Living Room. Set inside a characterful railway arch in Hackney, this 1,370 sq ft café, bar and event space has been designed to feel more like a welcoming living room than a traditional venue. The space works particularly well for workshops, talks and panels, book clubs, supper clubs, networking events, community gatherings, creative launches, intimate performances, content shoots and private events. The flexible layout allows the room to be adapted depending on the style of your booking. The main space includes two relaxed lounge areas with sofas, alongside tables and chairs that can be rearranged to create seated, standing or mixed layouts. There is seating for approximately 17–18 guests within the standard furniture setup, with additional folding chairs available where required. The venue can accommodate up to 60 people in total. A fully fitted café and bar sits within the main room, making the space particularly suited to events where drinks or refreshments are part of the experience. Other features include a built-in sound system, Wi-Fi, guest toilet facilities and a kitchenette/back-of-house area. The railway arch itself gives the space a distinctive industrial backdrop, softened by warm interiors, comfortable furniture and considered design details. This makes it equally suited to events that need atmosphere straight away and productions looking for a characterful setting. Located in Hackney, the venue is surrounded by the area’s mix of independent cafés, restaurants, creative businesses and cultural spaces, with public transport and street parking options nearby. Paid street parking is available on the surrounding roads, with additional free parking available within approximately a 5–10 minute walk at certain times. Setup and pack-down time should be included within your booking. Furniture can be rearranged to suit your event and we’re happy to discuss the most suitable layout in advance.
