- Client reviews across multiple platforms: We analyze feedback from clients on Google, popular booking platforms, and social media to ensure consistent satisfaction.

- Industry recognition and awards: We look for photographers with accolades from respected organizations and industry bodies relevant to their specialty, whether that’s weddings, commercial work, or beyond.

- Professional credentials and associations: Active membership in industry groups, relevant certifications, and verified business operations, including appropriate insurance for working in the city, are often held by our photographers.

Finding the right event photographer

!["Photographer]("https://www.peerspace.com/uk/resources/wp-content/uploads/photographer-filming-guests-at-an-event-luke-lung-1024x683.jpg")
</picture>Source: Unsplash (Luke Lung)

A portfolio shows you a photographer’s best frames. It does not show you how quickly the images arrive, or how the photographer works a room where nobody is expecting a camera.

1. Match the photographer to the event

A conference and a wedding call for different skills. Look at galleries from events like yours, and check how the photographer handles low light and speeches.

2. Agree a shot list

Share the names of your speakers and sponsors before the day, along with the moments you cannot miss. A photographer who knows the running order can be in the right place when an award is handed over.

3. Ask about delivery times

Event Photo Guy delivers within 48 hours and offers 24-hour rush delivery. Pete Copeland sends a first selection within an hour. Ask the others for a delivery date in writing.

4. Compare pricing models

Event Photo Guy charges by the hour according to guest numbers, and Pete Copeland by the half or full day. Hourly pricing suits a short reception, and a day rate suits a conference.

5. Check what you can do with the images

Ask whether you can use the images for marketing and press, and whether you receive every edited image or a selection.

Pete Copeland’s event coverage is £500 for a half day and £900 for a full day.
