The Japanese Tea House is a one of a kind artistic hand-built cottage, set under oak trees and surrounded by mountains. The old world and unique feel of the structure is perfect to host film and photography sets. It is set back from the road, quiet and part of a larger 13 acre property where further nature and rustic settings can be found. Only 15 minutes from Santa Monica, Malibu and the Valley, it feels like you are far off in the mountains. The Teahouse was handcrafted by Japanese artisans, built as a Kabuki Stage in a Japanese gardens. It has a simple interior, a lovely wooden deck and an upstairs bedroom area with beautiful Japanese rafters. There is a separate bathroom with a rustic wooden look. The property has lots of parking. There are over 100 oak trees with sculpted rock streams covered with a total canopy of green. If you need a rustic and forested location this is the place. We have had directors rewrite their scripts because they fell in love with this place.
