Koenig eventually became an international design-star with his Case Study House #21 in 1958, the "Bailey House", and in 1959 with CSH #22, the "Stahl House", probably LA's most iconic residency. A rare gem tucked away in the hills north of Los Angeles, this early work of Koenig's architectural legacy was his fourth house and commissioned by the Scott family. In 2014, the new owners bought the severely maintenance deferred house and land from the original owner, Aurora Scott, and thoroughly restored it to its former glory and according to Koenig's original plans.
